only downside of starlink is the latency being so high, I used it for a few months before I stumped up the money for a real fibre install

Useful info thanks. There's a 3rd option here in rural west Wales. A local company offers 'Airfibre' which is a point to point microwave connection. You have a small dish on your house/shed/barn. Starts at £30pm and is well quick both up and down.

@@FieldtoFarm_UK They do need line of site from one of their masts but seem happy to build their network as necessary. A free survey will confirm it's possible or not very quickly..

What does the directional 4g antenna connect to ? Do uou have a special router that repeats the signal?

Starlink allows you to make cellphone over wifi calls.
