I used to burn peat, and I always smelt of peat. Does yours smell as bad as mine did ?

The holes with silicone is the least of your problems. The CPC's are too close to that exposed neutral conductor, also that conductor should be in one terminal, not three.
@Deeejjj6431 минут бұрын
The unearthed sleeving is to close to the unsleeved part of the neutral. And test it
@peterigrenyi917632 минут бұрын
Serious points - Put sleeving on that CPC in the noard to prevent accodental contact with neutral bar etc... woeth it. - Cables exitting at the bottom should be secured so there is no strain on connections for example. But what i really want to know is with you being off grid and i assume taking power from dolar and possibly generator, what is your earthing arrangement? Is it TT meaning you have an earth rod in the ground?

The first circuit looks like a b40? That should be a maximum of 32a for the 2.5 cables leaving it 👍should be a b32

How often do you need to replenish the roof growing medium? Is the straw and compst layer truly deep enough for roots? I'd love to see it in full growth. I'd like a simple green roof on my not yet built garden shed and have it grow wildflowers for the local bees, butterflies and birds. Winter here in NS can be very cold compared to a UK winter as well.

they didn't ban them purely because of the danger of explosions - they did it because they are inefficient. And the emissions are bad for the environment. But hey - libertarians don't care about issues beyond their own selfish little world.

But it works most importantly. Just needs glands and some earth sleeve, exposed cables aren’t the best. A little tidy up and it will be a nice job.

You should really start a blog or put a guide online with what you've done! I wonder if this is possible to do without having the farm as your main source of income (if you work from home in another job for example but just buy a few pigs to "start a farm").

my Dad had me and me siss picking up sheep waste in surrounding fields shovel and bucket, he them put it all in a net'curtain tied off an hung into old beer barrel add some water, give a good dunking Occasionally! and use effluent/water for our rapidly growing Vedge 👍 worked a treet 😎 and sunk a couple a pint glasses level to ground 3/4 full of home brew bitter! to catch Slugs 🤣 Died happy'est slugs in Wales. it was the 80's (I passed a log earlier but it didn't look like those!) 😂 Sorry 😇

Very sensible advice without any wild claims. In a nutshell it is possible... but it's not easy! If you do find some land don't invest more money into it than you can afford to lose should you ultimately be made to move on.
