Great interview. Only one thing - if they will reject you - it doesn't mean you are not fit, it just mean you highly likes has less preparation for pitching and showing expectations they have from you as from the person who pitched. You might have exceptional experience and still not pass interview for product manager for example. I saw it many times during last 6 years. It is why even guys with 10+ years of experience making a lot of mock interviews before approaching promotion even inside of the Google.

Take that ATS! All this time I've been hesitant to apply to Google because I figured I always got rejected by AI. Excellent content and collaboration. Thanks both for bringing a more human aspect of the process

Very good insight! I really loved how positively Elizabeth ended her "Tell me about yourself" question. It really helps set the stage for the rest of the interview. The only suggestion I can give her is to invest in a good microphone so that her lovely voice can be heard more clearly. :)

It makes me question the hiring process. Who is likely to be hired: a TVC that works at Google or a true external candidate from Apple or Facebook? Even though TVCs are considered external, we are there immersed in the culture, know the rules and values of the company. Who is more likely to get a hired: a TVC who has worked in that department or with that department for the role or a Google FTE who has no experience in that department at all?

I think the part with resume before even screening is a bit of a lie, i have had exp applying to jobs where i had all the keywords in the job description and still they won't schedule a screen call.
@einsteinnjr4 ай бұрын
You have to be an early applicant, as well. If 600 people apply, they will filter and schedule the 1sts 50. If some in the meantime pass through the funnel, he will get hired.

TY for this video. Very helpful! I have a question - Why recruiters at google or facebook lowball your offer? Do they get commission by doing this?
@PMDiegoGranados3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sharda! Thanks for watching 😊 While I'm not a recruiter, I can help answer based on my experience and conversations with them: They don't get commission by doing what you mention. In fact, you may have had bad experience, but in general it is NOT their objective to lowball an offer. Offers are given based on the interview, your experience, what the team is looking for, etc. They don't purposefully lower the offer because they receive commission on it. HOWEVER, they are expecting that you negotiate 😊 And there is your chance to bring up that offer 💪. Let me know if this helps
@Vostro1233 жыл бұрын
Sharda most probably refers to those agency recruiters who are NOT employed by google or facebook but trying to source candidates for their agency and to “rent” those candidates to facebook and google. I would suggest to stay away from them, unless you’re desperate.

@@PMDiegoGranados TY for the detailed explanation! Which aspects of the offer are negotiable out of the base pay, the bonus, the stocks or something else?
@PMDiegoGranados3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for chiming in @Vostro! @@shardasheshabhattar1 all of them :) Base Pay, bonus and stocks. I recommend negotiating Base Pay & Stocks before singing bonus - the bonus is taxable, so you'll end up receiving a part of it. Everyone is different, but those are my personal opinion, Salary and Stocks - Let me know if you have any questions
