Are the interviews for these roles the same as other product interviews you have preps for? From my experience doing this the “product metrics” are a mix of model performance metrics and business outcome metrics

Great video Diego! Thanks for the tips Chenae and Ali! Actually I will have my first interview scheduled next week, and I'm so so so so nervous because yeah it's Microsoft 😖and due to language barrier, I am so worried I may not be able to express or describe the details as well as I would like 😥

Great tutorial but I'm curious how you have multiple toggles in a cell, AND how you added titles to each of them?

how is "Out of control" different from external? Isn't seasonality "out of your control" as much as political change is?

How would you prioritize the 4 segments(System, External, Internal, Out of Control)? Would it depend on factors on the product/ industry?

Can't we just introduce a voice assistant like Alexa in the elevator? It is a universal approach with Braille enabled keys.

Love Aaron's clarity of thought and how he chooses to articulate what he wants to convey, a lot of PM interviews are also about showcasing that you're the right fit for the team and that the interviewers would love to work with you! Watching this 3 years down, but thanks for putting this one together Diego!

@PMDiegoGranados what do you have to say about taking the approach of thinking about user segments purely from a host perspective? Such as 1. New hosts who want to furnish empty airbnbs 2. Hosts whose ratings have been dropping owing to poor furnitures 3. Hosts looking to modernize their places after a while. This is based on an assumption that we are building out a furniture business for hosts majorly as customers with the overarching goal that end users who stay in these houses will have a great experience. Would such a line of thought make sense?

This is also a good approach! You can even say something like: "there are 2 main sides of this market: Hosts and guests, let's focus on hosts because of X reason. When we think about hosts, I can think of 3 types of hosts. 1-New hosts that..." It's a good way to share that you understand the marketplace (host vs guests) and then deep dive into hosts persona!

So lucky to come across your video. This is so concise and well structured. As a PM, I would recommend it to anyone prep for product manager, product design or any product-related roles whether they are at entry or senior level. Sometimes, it's not about how brilliant your ideas are or how much knowledge you have but how you deliver your thoughts to someone
