@@WithSandra, I currently work for a commercial real estate & property management company as Workplace Services Coordinator where I'm responsible for provisioning and deprovisioning credential access for over 400+ tenants using on-premise and cloud-based physical access control systems, logs/event tracking. I also help set up AV systems and connect tenants devices to wifi/internet for meetings, work order &property management systems, video/surveillance systems etc. With these skills and experiences, what will be your suggestion for an IT/ Cybersecurity areas to go into?

Coding right now is ROUGHH. like the worst branch of tech for hiring rn
@WithSandra28 күн бұрын
Do you have lots of technical projects on your resume? I will say that coding is very competitive, I feel really bad for all the Compsci majors out there rn, I'm seeing a lot of people not able to find jobs after graduating, its pretty crazy. Keep working on technical projects and getting those updated on your resume and keep applying. Its still peak hiring season rn. Wishing you the best of luck!

No I haven’t done much projects I want to transition to cybersecurity though hopefully that works out for me.

It's not hard to get an IT job. I live in a state surrounded by the Department of Defense and Air Force Materiel Command (aka government jobs), and they’re always hiring. The starting pay ranges from $86k to $114k per year. I'm telling you, all they ask for to get the job is a CompTIA Security+ certification.
@jony386026 күн бұрын
You must be in an exceptional area then. I've got a Sec+ and a Master's in Cyber. I can't seem to get anything higher than teaching at a jr. college. I live in an area surrounded by government jobs, but those are so competitive right now.

interesting in two weeks is insane to get job offers because ive been having bad luck in NYC to get a job as IT helpdesk analyst and my resume look good enough to work in entry level but many jobs want people at different level of experience.
