Hi Jasmin! Thank you SO much for making this video! I’m also in CA and have been watching videos about getting into medical aesthetics for the past year. There’s a bunch out there but no one has explained exactly what I needed to know like you did here! You’re an excellent speaker and I hope you continue to make informative videos. Love the passion you put into your work that I’ve seen from IG!!

Thank you for all this information. I am a new grad with an Associate nursing degree thar just got hired as an Aesthetic Injector Nurse (doctor is willing to train me). I got my foot through the door by going to the same doctor for facials and botox during my nursing program and expressing interest in getting hired after graduation. And now I have a job there! Persistancy is key. QUESTION: to open your own clinic do you need to be a NP, DNP? Or have an MD always under your name? I hope that helps :)
@Jasminc3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the state you are in! Most states require RN to inject, some don’t. I’d say half ish states require a physician as 51% owner.

what esthetician school did you go to and which botox/ filler cert did you go through?
@NXT_Nena3 жыл бұрын
Honest question. I have applied to many aesthetic practices and done interviews. It’s so competitive and I honestly wud rather jus open one myself. I want to kno how to get the training tho. Where are there classes that teach me how to do prp and chemical peels? Microneedling and ipl? I jus need to be trained. I tried to do on the job training but I haven’t landed a job in the field yet. There aren’t that many positions open. Most already have their 2 nurses they need. I’m also black and not many places have ethnic diversity. I know there is a lane for ethnic women as well working in aesthetics. I would like to pay for training somewhere and get certificates of completion.
@Jasminc3 жыл бұрын
It’s better to have a couple years of experience before opening. Injecting takes a long time to get refined. Look through injector Facebook groups to find training programs on specific treatments

This is a great video but slightly misinformed. It is still possible to get into CSUs without a previous bachelors degree. But your right it is more vigorous. Students applying to CSU programs need to have 4.0s, 90+ on the teas, and extracurriculars. For me and most of my peers (if I get accepted) it will take 4.5 years total to get my BSN
@Jasminc3 жыл бұрын
That’s a lot of dedication for a BSN! I have a good friend who went through CSULB nursing without doing a bachelors before. Definitely need top tier stats.
