That would have made an epic photo of Mark's hunt. Bull elk down and naked family taking care of it. As usual Beau, outstanding and very informative video.

Another great video. I can tell anyone out there reading these comments that the positive things Mark said about Beau are not exaggerations. I also second the sound advice about saving your money and buying quality PACK animals from a proven source. I tried it the other way with several different free and cheap llamas and it was a total failure. I also agree with the advice of renting seasoned pack llamas for a couple of trips and learning the ropes before diving in on buying your own animals, which is what I finally did and it led to success. Lastly, prospective stock purchasers should strong weight the overall huge safety advantage that llamas provide over horses or mules in the backcountry.

Wonderful video! It was very informative and a great way for people wanting to learn and be more involved with llamas, to see how great they are! How Llamas bring people together, and how they can bring happiness to our lives creating unforgettable memories! I can certainly vouch for that! Now I need to get my barn built so I can get some more llamas myself! Haha

What’s a cogna test 🤔?
@wildernessridgetrailllamas69715 жыл бұрын
This is where a vet will test your horse's blood for a disease. Here is the more formal breakdown: A “Coggins” is a blood test that detects antibodies to the disease Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA). This is a virus that can cause affected horses (or donkeys) to have fevers, anemia (low red blood cell count), edema (stocking up), or weight loss/muscle wasting.
