Hi Kevin, thanks for the awesome video! This will certainly be extremely helpful as I write my supplementals. I was curious if you had any insight on the best time to apply: does REA boost, hinder, or not offer any change in admission odds at Stanford? I know the answer to questions like these can vary wildly between schools (e.g. Northwestern), and I've heard some conflicting information. I'd love to hear if you have any insight!

Hi! Your videos are so helpful. I have a question. I got a research opportunity in astronomy at a community college near me for the summer as a rising junior (just finished 10th). However, I’m wondering if this will add any substance to my college application as I’m interested in biology and this research opportunity is at a community college rather than a competitive university. Additionally, a lot of the things that I have done are related to STEM but are all over the place and not specific to biology. Is that disadvantageous?

Do you have any suggestions as to what I should do during the school yr that isn’t too academic heavy as I’d like to focus on my school work. Also, by trying out these different areas of stem, it’s sort of helping me decide what I’d like to pursue later on. Do u think that that is a good approach or should I have solely focused on biology?
