How is GPA calculated, especially if you're from another country with a different curriculum? I might either have a 2.7 GPA or a 3.7 GPA 😭

im not 100% sure but you can try a GPA calculator online, ask your counselors, or reach out to an admissions officer. some American schools don't use GPA either so I think you'll be okay

First, convert your grades to their US equivalent. You can use the percentage-to-grade system of US grading to form a connection between your country's system and America's. Then, count the instances of each grade appearing on your report card. Multiply the number of 'A' grades by 4, the number of 'B' grades by 3; 'C' by 2, 'D' by 1 and consider 'F' worth 0. Add up all of the results and divide by the total number of grades. For example, if you have 4 A's, 8 B's, 2 C's, 1 D and 3 F's (I know, illogical, but apparently it's possible) you have: GPA=4*4 + 8*3 + 2*2 + 1*1 + 0/4+8+2+1+3=16+24+4+1/18=45/18=2.5.

Could I get in with my stats? 1020 SAT 2.89 GPA EC's: 1200 elo in chess immortal 2 in valorant helped out some local families move into their houses volunteered at a local pet shelter for 100 hrs pls I need to know what else to do to get into an ivy

u need to at least improve your SAT score to enter a good university, and if you are in class I suggest doing more extracurriculars

You need EC's that are not Valorant, you need a better SAT and a higher GPA. Awards wouldn't hurt, especially if you're from the US where they are more common

if ur a freshmen you still have time, get that gpa up to a 3.7+ MINIMUM, also get SAT score up asw for advice
