Bollob, bollox. Sorry but there is a time to tell it straight. Supported housing my ass. Wonderful statements , great brochures, and people who have not got the first idea about any illnesses let alone bipolar etc. Please if you dont 100 per cent know "why" ( money ) your doing it stop or at least look up scam supported housing. A psychiatrist spends up to 15 yrs and more studying these complex issues and we really believe we can sort it - blood on your fukin hands

Providers of supported living need to be kitemarked or regulated, I have seen too many times people who are deemed hard work too risky and end up at hospital denied entry into what is their homes and made homeless after discharge. As a mental health worker it's something i'd like to get into in the future.

I totally agree and have seen the effects 1st hand. It enraged me when she minimized the fact that their are problems everywhere, how dare she- these people do not sit in reality. Its landlords suddenly becoming psychiatrists etc, apathy is rife. This is not a "small" thing its widespread and for this woman not to recognize this is either down to willful blindness or stupidity . And before you reply, I'm now a qualified psychologist, I've read the quantitative data/reports I have zero tolerance for ignorance or guilt by omission. YOU ARE NOT TRAINED, TOTAL BULL, It beggars belief. I have bipolar 2, any q's ask away Sooo disappointed

Is nobody going to address the horror and reality of supported living. No "specialised staff" no accountability. The general concern is one of finance, I plead with anyone starting this to realise the help that's truly needer

Having been a manager in supported living. Exactly what you are promoting is a money making thing. It's actually for vulnerable adults who are "supported" by 0 hours untrained unsafe care workers and managers in general. Not that I am saying your practice is this bad.. hopefully not. You get around £16 per hour of support but pay the staff £8.90. Making money at the expense of vulnerable adults.

Sombody needs to do the service because who else will. I guess you can't please everyone. So yes if you provide a service of course take some profit what is rightfully due
