Hi, Myself Chaitanya! I have 4 years of software testing experience with National Payments Corporation of India in UPI Payments. I doing Masters in Java full stack development(Mar-2021 to Sep-2022) from UpGrad(IIIT Banglore with Liverpool John Moore's University). I am planning to quit job and take career gap for 3-6 months(or max 1 year). Hi Harshal, I feel it is not right dicision to switch in Software Testing because you are already have Strong experince on your core technology and you will get job and position on the same field what you have if you search job. In case if you want to start your career in Testing then to get job it may take long time because you are from mechanical background and for automation testing you must good in coding skills. To learn all the automation and manual and other supported tools may take 5 to 6 months duration to complete your course. Nothing is impossible to switch job but it is risk Harshal you have to commit and hardwork for 1 year. So better to do that much hardwork on your same field and upgrade your skills on your same field. still have doubts ask me..keep watching

My suggestion is do practice everyday after end of the class and on more thing first learn java concepts then move to selenium course, if you don't know java you can't understand selenium.
