@@WDMurphy _ I agree, the patina copper look would be cool on a whole truck, there's a big part of me that really wants to try this on mine. My truck already lost a lot of its paint and I live in a region where it doesn't rust or at least doesn't rot through so it might just be the right candidate.

@@Fucknuts4u Same here they don't salt the roads where I live my paint is near perfect for 2009 dodge (that only gets washed once a year), but most of that is from only having 19k miles on it. I can only imagine having a custom paint job like that would cost a lot but would be an eye turner.

I went out of my way to look for a copper patina car paint treatment, was sure despite how much I love those colors that it wouldn't fit or look good on a car, and one second of this eases all those doubts. It's the PERFECT car to do it on too. An old farm truck. Super jealous, and awesome work!!! When do we get to see the whole car.... Personally, I would want like, 30% more blue than green over this, with how classically well orange and blue go together (even in car livery's) but it's awesome and hope you like it! Super cool!

Awesome work. Any idea how you would go about doing this on a vertical surface? I'm just thinking I might have a problem getting my kitchen wall to lay flat. With all the keeping it wet, it is likely to run quite a bit. Maybe if I put the rust / verdigris activator in a gel of some sort?

Hey Melanie how are u? I am in the process of getting ready to seal a ton of patina projects. They all have a mix of green blue and rust. Of course as it dries it gets seriously faded some of it is lovely but I do want to bring back some of the deep patina tones. Do you use matte or satin to seal your patina? Which do you think is best to keep it natural looking? Thanks for always posting your brilliant beautiful projects and creations. You're amazing!!

Hey there! I prefer the satin. It’s going to deeper and darken all of it.

@@VintageMakeoverswithMelanie thanks I went and sprayed Rust-Oleum matte, one of my projects turned a milky white. I learned that too much humidity in the air and or your project not fully cured can create a milky haze in the clear coat. Ugh! Starting over on that one. 🤦 Thanks for reply.
