It took me a year and a half to get my period and the whole time. My friends laughed at me and said why waste your time it’ll only be good inside of gambit it’s not really that useful there’s other things. But I said no no and explosive sat on every fifth shot from a primary weapon that does incredible damages under rated. It’s a hand cannon that does special weapon damage that they thinking if you don’t believe me Ironworker, gaming channel has a video breakdown. That’s incredibly detailed. He’s done almost every weapon and he re-update them after every major expansion change.

I’m gonna do you a favor that somebody who got theirs told me that I didn’t know about. When you go to invade, use Gallimore, I know I know. I said the same shit trust me I said the same exact thing. Just do it. Those seeking Wolfpack grounds really good for taking out multiples. Especially in today’s gambit where it is very invader heavy. That should make the invader portions where you have to defeat invaders much much easier. I’m so glad I got mine. Because now I get to tease and laugh at my friends. Specially, the ones were better than me at PVP and think it’s gonna be really quick and easy and not that bad to get malfeasance..

This is now a must-have weapon for all Hunters. Malfeasance + Lucky Pants on literally ANY subclass is a DPS monster and is undoubtedly a meta choice in any and all content. I will likely be replacing Crimson in my Strand build because the damage is too high to ignore after Season 21. Very nicely put-together video. I will offer one more bit of advice though: in the alternate Corrupted run, Strand is your best friend. Despite your best efforts otherwise, you WILL get punted off the map at least once by the final Phalanx boss. Having Grapple to save your life and not having to repeat the encounter will save you from a massive headache. Finally, when you do finally get the catalyst, I recommend launching the Normal difficulty of the Breakneck Lightfall campaign. Get to the first rally flag, the one right before the room with the 40+ Vex in it, and kill all EXCEPT the Harpy mini-boss. This checkpoint doesn't reset each weak and it is an insanely efficient way to farm catalyst progress and level any weapon with zero worries as the rally flag is completely FREE.

I did the strike solo a while back. For anyone struggling to complete it there’s a bit of a cheese spot on the large rock on the middle platform.(as long as it’s not patched) You can hide on top of it and the boss can’t reach you when you crouch. It’s very easy to fall but it’s much easier to avoid falling off a rock than it is to avoid the boss at ground level! GLHF

i just got the HC yesterday...imo most limiting step is the step 6 to get 4 guardian kills in a single invasion, was not able to find someone in lfg to do it so tried to improve in invading. smaller maps should be best for completing 4 guardian wipe. i used xenophage machine gun(2 hits does the job) and pretty much with some luck was able to complete the quest. dont rely on others, if i can do it most certainly you can too(i'm bad at pvp)...good luck guardians, hope you get your gun

For the kills portion of the quest, i’d recommend Dead Mans Tale. Its really good for taking out spread out targets, and is strong in the event they push you. I got it relatively quickly using DMT, and taking initiative in gunfights during invasions rather than being reactive.

I think the hardest part is killing all four of the other team on an invasion. They are usually spread out across the map. Truth is the best for guardian kills IMO.

Just recently completed the quest. Hardest part was the killing of 4 invaders until i remembered that if you’re a hunter you should use the three shot golden gun. Invade with your super and heavy ammo and you should beat that part in no time. Hope that helps!

For the Aphelion's Rest method; If you have strand, you can just grapple up to where you exit the boss area and skip the entire lost sector to cut the time down even more.

The entire Forsaken campaign was sunset. You have the first mission and some seasonal stuff connected to the Dreaming City, and Last Wish is still there with craftable weapons.

This quest is brutal. I still haven’t finished it. On the last step, and I’m terrible at invading 😩😂 The step at the beginning with the strike took me ages, plus when you got to the round room with the orbs, it was bugged. You had to go back to the checkpoint, then go to the back of the taken room before you drop and go into an entrance. Then it would work fine. The boss on the rock platform constantly tethered me as I jumped away. I hid behind the wall, and took care of the wizards and fusion grenaded the sucker!! 😂 Just need to get help with the last step.

My favorite weapon for invading personally is Xenophage. Picking up ammo bricks gives you a healthy amount of reserves, it’s a one shot kill and has very forgiving range. And as a bonus it does great primeval damage

Solo'd it on my warlock a few weeks ago. For those struggling solo with the phalanx boss in the Corrupted Strike variant, there's a cheese spot on a floating boulder high above the islands you can perch and shoot from. You have to jump atop of one of those rib bone looking things sticking out of the ground and then from there triple jump or hover atop of the large boulder just above it. The phalanx boss can't hit you and you can just plink away at him. The only thing you really have to deal with are the void turrets that periodically spawn and the wizards. I only just discovered this after dying like 15 times trying to do it normally.

Last season I just did the quest solo till the gambit point. Didn’t know anything that would be coming. The final boss from the strike almost made me uninstall, the gambit part made me quit for a week… well 2 days ago I said screw it, ima do it. Got to the part where you or a tm8 has to get 4 kills. Yh I let my tm8s try it for like 10 games, only 1 did it… so I tried it, boom4 kills. Boy I was so hyped never felt this great in the entire time of playing this game. For the missing kills I did it again, and again 4 kills. I don’t know why, but since then I actually like gambit 0_o

For folks struggling with the team wipe in Gambit, I highly recommend Leviathan's Breath. That bad boy will one shot a guardian in the pinky toe from the across the map. Headshots will one shot them out of their supers. I was running dawnblade + Levi's Breath when I finally got my quest done.

Was able to do this pretty fast actually. Anyone with decent mechanics should be fine in gambit using Xenophage. I used it with a sniper and an smg/shotgun. Just have that and a strong super and you should get the 4 kills done pretty fast.

Just for those still having an issue with completing this, just use warlock on stasis. Put on bleak watcher for the stasis turret. Stand behind the big rock. Shoot boss until 1/3 health. 2 Wizard will spawn. One will come to the back of the rock. Drop turret and healing well and kill the first wizard. Then the rest is easy. Continue to drop turrets. I think much faster than on top of rock.

Soloing the strike was pretty easy. I have to solo everything bcuz i dont have a lot of friends to play with :( so soloing has become fairly easy for me. Getting the 4 guardians killed in 1 invade was definitely the hardest part for me. I used Gally with a sniper to get mine done. The gun is well worth the grind.

Anyone dreading the invasion portion as much as i was should use this setup... Use the Colony heavy GL with as much ammo as possible on a golden gun hunter. As soon as you invade fire off a load of spider grenades in the direction of the enemies, even if you cant see them, trust me you will tend to get at least 2 kills. Then get the other 2 with your golden gun. I'm not very good at pvp but i finished that whole part of the quest in a couple of hours and got the 'kill all 4' done on my third or fourth invasion.

Drag, I was hoping for a cleverer clue how to get the catalyst. I ran strikes and such enough satisfy req’s for Centrifuse and Delicate Tomb with no Malfeasance yet. Thunderlord took it’s sweet time dropping to. Bungie uses RNG like a crutch that hobbles+throttles to keep us crawling instead of running. Tiresome running all those long catalyst activities stuck with just one certain exotic.

One you can ride your hoverbike all the way to the back to the boss to defeat him in step 2 then rinse and repeat. Step 3 is easier with help.

i’ve completed countless rounds of gambit and haven’t gotten a single ascendant servitor primevil. Has the way you obtain malfeasance changed? I don’t have the mission or the gun so idk what to do.

Try checking with the Drifter or the quest kiosk in the tower. The quest name is the same, some of the steps have been removed but for the most part it's the same

I hate when PvP is required to finish an exotic quest, so annoying. I used to love PvP play many moons ago but can't stand it anymore and want nothing to do with it lol. Great video though, thanks for making it.
