You can also unlock Mystery Gift after you defeat Maylene in Veilstone City. I had intended to follow the instructions in this video after I had beaten her. But, once I opened the start menu after beating her, I saw I had Mystery Gift where I didn't have it before.

I’m really disappointed that the Platinum Clothing is locked to a limited distribution. Manaphy makes sense but honestly the clothing shouldn’t of been stuck to FOMO junk.

Agreed. I decided to just emulate the game. Runs better than on switch and at a higher resolution in 60fps, and I get to hack anything I want in the game including the mystery gifts. I also get to change my name and gender if I ever want. Already changed my name once.

And to be honest, mine too is Platinum. I want my Distortion World, my Battle Frontier and my husbando (Looker) Also, my favorite generation 4 game is HeartGold. For me the egg was 2131 steps for anyone wanting to soft reset for best nature. Although nature is set once you get the egg. Can't be changed just by rehatching the egg

Most people didn't buy the game in the 3 month release window, so the only way to get manaphy now is to catch it in Pokemon arceus and trade it over to bdsp.
