How to get MARRIED IN EDINBURGH | 7 tips for a budget wedding in Scotland

Peeps, it's over! The months of prep have brought their fruit in the form of a wonderful small wedding in Edinburgh, and I've decided that instead of simply sharing some of my wedding photography with you (thank you Solen!) I would put together a whole video listing advice and tips about planning a small to medium sized wedding that I wish someone shared with me last year.

Congratulations. I am 12 years married to my amazing wife. We did it on the cheap. We both have big families so they all got invited along with friends we hired our church hall a friend's brother did the music. I hired my Kilt my wife got her dress from Ebay she looked amazing. People didn't want our wedding reception to end. Have many amazing years together. ☺

Yep. It was me who got married in Burn‘s Monument. And they actually did lock that wee garden around the monument for us. We first went for the Old Observatory on Calton Hill btw, but the construction going on there back then simply didn’t come to an end. I wouldn’t recommend going for an open space on Calton Hill; we even found it horribly difficult to shoot some pics there as there are ALWAYS plenty of people around. Congrats again, and you both looked stunning. ❤

Congratulations! Might we also point out that Scotland is one of the most LGBT-friendly countries in Europe, anyone is able to legally marry anyone else, irrespective of sexuality, genders, etc. The Church of Scotland, United Reformed Church, Methodist, Congregational, and Scottish Episcopal Churches are normally very happy to marry same-sex couples within their buildings, though they don't have to.

Please remember a (Wedding) is part of (Belief systems/Religions) as in Make believe. Belief defined- possessing NO TANGIBLE evidence to substantiate the claims are factual (Make believe). In other words you have participated in a (Make believe ceremony) guided by a priest, pastor, monk who play (Make believe) reciting over and over again (I BELIEVE some guy came back from the dead) (I BELIEVE he was the son of God). Yet, these BELIEVERS say it's ALL TRUE? If a Law enforcement officer says to you; I BELIEVE you committed that crime! You then say; you only BELIEVE? A (Belief) is NOT a Truth, you must possess TANGIBLE EVIDENCE / an Understanding that I committed a crime, yet BELIEVERS say their (Belief system/Religion) is ALL TRUE? I highly suggest you do NOT send your marriage certificate to the state it's Make believe anyhow. Congratulations!
