Follow up tip. Choose the option to have the gang press the O’Drisscolls so they all agro the npcs, You have to watch Micah since he only has a knife.

When you get the gun when you have the option to push or hold back just let Micah die as it's a checkpoint so you keep the gun but Micah' gets his back

Heads up. If you have this gun equipped during the mission to free Micha from jail (Blessed are the Meek?) and you fail after he goes into the house to get his guns, it will re load right before he comes out and remove it from you. If you complete the mission with no fail/continue you keep it as normal.

I have actually caught it during a couple other missions where if you drop it and there's a cutscene then it pulls it from your equip status I never ran back to see if it was still in the weapons locker though I always just re started the mission to be 100% sure

If you accept to take the lead, rush up to the closest shack to kill the 3 O'Driscolls. Dutch will order everyone to move into the correct positions. Be sure to switch back to your default revolver before the final train mission in Chapter 1! You can lose it when the coal shovel guy disarms you.

That would be awesome to be able get a custom gun from each member of the game. Especially guys like Dutch, Bill and Havier. Just those 3 and Micahs would be cool.

@@tannz7019 It's possible to get other weapons from fellow gang members & you can pick them up and keep them forever. There's KZbin videos showing how & it doesn't matter if they are special or not. It's just can be tricky getting them to drop their weapons. Same with Micah.

As of 12.3.2022 this still works! It took many attempts and there are many glitches, but it works. Great pistol to start with, or end with.

Would have been great to know that if you have his gun out when you get hit by the train conductor in mission 5 you lose his revolver forever and have to restart the game

You could've gotten Micah's revolver early in chapter 2 as well, when he's in jail. There's videos on how to do so.

You cant dual wield uniques. Theres only 1 slot for them in your inventory, Once its there you cant get 2 without installing a mod@@nathanoden5917

You can however get 2 of Jonh's cattleman revolvers since they arent considered unique and can be dual wielded (As arthur. I dont know if you keep the second one as john)

You can also get Micah’s gun early in this mission just do as the guy says kill him with a fire arrow near his leg you’ll see the icon where it says switch any gun for Micah’s weapon the first time you press it won’t work so just keep spamming it until you have it also in chapter one where you stop colm from robbing a train just disarm any enemy on that mission bring him to Micah and let him hit Micah he then drops his weapon giving you Micah’s revolver your welcome:)

after you clear out the camp and they come out of the woods allow yourself to die and restart from checkpoint you’ll keep the revolver and micah will get one as well so you don’t have to worry about him knife charging

if the game gets soft locked after trying to regroup, go to your horse and switch back to the cattle man and throw you self off the water tower to un lock it. Micha will have his guns again and you'll keep it

the issue with this is and you have to be careful once you disarm Micah he will go from shooting to hand to hand combat so you need to start to shoot everything ...once you get to the I say we kill the bastards part the gun is yours for good

Update: it doesnt work anymore. I did everything right, Micah dropped his pistol, but there's NO WAY to pick it up, it just lays on the ground and you cant do anything about it :(

when you chase Billy Midnight on the train, you will end ul on roof of two trainwagons. Billy is standing on the second one and he will shoot himself if you dont follow him on the wagon.

I did it on my new playthrough I started last night. Took me 3 tries to get it right but it worked and I now have Micahs revolver going into chapter 2. Pretty sweet, wonder if there is a way get Dutch's and Bill's the same way on this or another mission?

ik this is late but it is impossible to get their revolvers because micah's revolver is the only one they probably planned for you to pick up as you are able to do in the epilogue. hopefully that helps even though its late

@@vikrams.3861 I think your probably right. I haven't come across any other missions that leads to an opportunity like the one where you get Micah's. Perhaps using the same method in that mission and going over to Dutch or Bill instead of Micah and maybe they'd drop their gun the same way but like you said it probably wouldn't be anything you can pick up.

no you cannot. dutch's and bill's guns are blacklisted because they have special engravings and you were never meant to pick them up

I tried this and it worked for me, I was able to get Micah's recover. However later during a train robbery, I died and then when I woke up, it disappeared for some reason. Micah's revolver then turned into a regular cattleman's revolver. I'm thinking that because this is a glitch basically. Micah's revolver can disappear anytime you die or fail a mission after that, so something to keep in mind that apparently you don't get to keep Micah's revolver throughout the game if you get it this method.

Hope you see this MrBoss, if you walk around during the mission “A Quiet Time”, you’ll need to walk around the second floor of the bar talking to the “Lenny” females and one will say that a “Jenny” left with a “John” a while ago.. Not sure if I’m reading into things but what if John was with prostitutes at the time? How many “Johns” can be in Valentine at the time in Chapter 2. You should look into this.

A man after my own heart. Damn right Red Dead 2 is THE best game ever made and if the rumors are true, Rockstar is remaking part one. The rumors I’ve heard say it’s gonna be like playing the epilogues in part 2, but the story of part one, with additional graphical updates such as an older John, Abigail, Jack, Uncle, Ross, Dutch, Bill, and Javier. Using all the original game’s dialogue but small, subtle additions mentioning Arthur and the gang. Also possible flashbacks of John and Arthur, albeit small ones. If this, or anything CLOSE, is true, I’ll be a very, VERY happy man.

Sorry, But javier's gun is phyisically impossible to get. It only looks functional in cutscenes, Even if you kill javier in camp he'll just drop a regular double action. It doesnt work since it isnt even coded into the game@@strangerman2773

Ok Mr. Boss FTW. I did this and it worked. But here’s the catch, it was only for the rest of the mission. After finishing the mission The game said “Nope! You don’t get that!” (Not literal). Meaning, the game took it away from my gun menu and gun belt. And yes I had it equipped after picking it up. Did I do something wrong or is it patched?

It's not patched, I think you either have to not pick up any other weapon like maybe even a repeater, or disconnect your internet before playing...
