Thank you max, I think my practices just consist of me playing my favorite tunes, so I will start doing this in individual practice sessions

I've been writing down and thinking what i need to do before I practice. I definitaly got more done, the difference is noticable but now too much because i have a hard time just staying still and thinking what I need to improve

I just got a song with glissandos and don't know how to do them I was wondering if anyone could help me
@Wizarde2479 ай бұрын
Depends on the glissando. A few things you can try, get used to double tonguing if it’s not slurred, take the scale up slow and slowly get faster and faster. If it’s not a distinct glissando, then just spam your keys from the starting note to the end note. Or just put all your keys half way down to bend your starting note to your end note.

How do you get over not wanting to do the mundane parts of practice
@Wizarde2479 ай бұрын
Make it part of a routine, or just try as hard as you can to treat it more of a fun aspect of practice.

tone it out, think about other things, think about the thing that you're playing down to the very last detail, all 3 of these. It's a form of meditation; learn to control your mindfulness and stream of thoughts. Then, those boring bits won't be so boring

You simply just do it. Have your instrument closer and out and ready to be played. Action creates motivation. Just make it easy to jump in the water rather than tipping your toe in.
