On this episode we give the RC4WD Trailfinder II a lot more suspension flex by installing some 100mm shocks, and another part that makes sure that full 100mm gets used. Enjoy! TF2 Blazer Mods Video: • "Angry" Dave's Adult R...

Truck looks great , like the color. I just bought my first RC4WD product, TF2 rust bucket edition. Love the truck but had a pile of loose bolts and screws, one of them being the input shaft of the T-case. I caught it before ordering parts but I swear they build these trucks on Friday afternoons

RC4WD stuff is nice, but you have to run through them and check the hardware before the first run. Especially since it's mostly metal. They don't threadlock everything so you have to stay on top of it. They're cool rigs though, it's fun to try and make leaf springs perform. Thanks and have fun! -"Angry" Dave

Yeah awesome blazer, I love mine ! Mine is still stock out of the box. I like the duel shocks in the front, I guess it's just that look thing !! Appreciate you sharing. Love watching your video's.
@AngryDavesADULTRC3 жыл бұрын
I love to hear that, thanks! The dual shocks do look cool, just remove the internal springs and they won't hurt performance. They're way too stiff with the springs installed. -"Angry" Dave

Yeah I definitely need to do mods to my tf2 limited blazer too. I had a shitty first run but I posted the video anyways. Pinion gear slipping motor not seated correctly and rear drive shaft tight and bound up. Waiting on parts and good grease to go through it. And definitely need to adjust the suspension. Thanks for sharing bro

My pleasure bud. Those leaf spring rigs are tough, but that makes it fun to try squeezing more performance out of 'em. Thanks! -"Angry" Dave

@@AngryDavesADULTRC rite on. my first run totally sucked. Pinion and spur was off cause the motor wasn't seated rite. Rear drive shaft totally tight causing the ujoint knuckle to bind. I was pissed. Waiting on parts for 2nd run .but need to really loosen that suspension up and degrease everything first

Nicely done. Really digging your channel. Looking forward to the trailing vid. I've dropped both drive shafts due to the piss poor design. I used your heat shrink tip on the replacement for the front and when I lost the rear I used spare parts from the front to get it running again and more heat shrink. I need to get off my ass and get to work. --Santa brought me Emu shocks, 90's for front and 100's for the rear and a set of Red leaf springs for my TF2 LWB. On a side note I've done the interior and added stripe decals to exterior, as well as scale items to the bed, added the lift kit and simple lights. I also flipped the plate for the battery so it sits more to the front and added some lead weights to the front end. For kicks I busted open a stereo bluetooth speaker system and re-boxed the two speakers into a piece of foam and stuck it into the back seat so I can listen to some tunes as I roll. One of these days I'll start posting vids on my channel...Happy RCing!
@AngryDavesADULTRC4 жыл бұрын
That sounds like a nice rig. I've thought about doin' that with Bluetooth speakers. I would love to have some tunes in the truck. I still want a light kit too, and I think I'm gonna get some 1.55" wheels for it and finish out under the hood so it's super scale. -"Angry" Dave

Cool video,Dave. You might notice that your front shocks restrict movement a little, I ended up going with 80mm shocks with the Gelande2 hoops. I also got a little more travel in the back mounting the shocks to the cross member, 2nd hole from the outside. I hate when I buy something I don't fucking need!!
@AngryDavesADULTRC4 жыл бұрын
Just playing with it on the bench I can tell it's got more travel. I can't wait to get it outside. I don't love mounting the rears to the crossmember 'cause they rub the leafs, but they do have more travel. I'll have to modify the shock mount to add clearance. Cool, another mod to do. -"Angry" Dave
@djr019743 жыл бұрын
Why did you mount the rear shocks on the outside of the frame? Any notable difference.
@AngryDavesADULTRC3 жыл бұрын
For fuller travel. Sometimes they bind at extreme angles when they're inboard. Thanks for watchin'! -"Angry" Dave

I don't have any rc4wd vehicles yet.i have lots of bumpers,winches, predator trax,benpak lift.i sure have my eyes on that intimidator pulling sled they announced end of last week.500$ big chunk of change.
@AngryDavesADULTRC4 жыл бұрын
They make really nice stuff. They are definitely more for the scaler than the performance freak. They can be made to perform pretty well, but between the cost of the truck and then the upgrades it won't be cheap. The pulling sled will be most attractive to people who put on events. For them it's worth the $500, it's another event they can add to their comps. -"Angry" Dave

I hate the rc4wd grub screws. Pos is what they are. What I did with mine is put the threaded end up in my drill then spun it fast and filed them down so it would fit all the way through. Once I got them all fitting good I soaked them in lock tight lol!

Your tire rotations are backwards. They are made to have the point of the tread patern facing the front to clear mud from them as they turn . Maybe you knew that maybe you didn't either way thought I'd let you know. Peace ✌️
@AngryDavesADULTRC7 ай бұрын
Yes, knew that. They're backwards on purpose because they bite better for crawling that way. This truck doesn't see mud so I don't need them to clear. This rig is more trail running anyway so it doesn't even need to crawl that well. I'm not running them on this truck anymore either, got a set of RC4WD Good Year Wranglers. Thanks for watchin'! -"Angry" Dave
