Buddy.....move the steering link to the other side. Simple fix. I was one of the first(not the first..that was Dave from RC Sparks) to do the motor-drop conversion. I've ran all my Trailfinder's and have modified alot of them this way. Drive it with the motor down....it's a huge improvement in performance.

I’d never go back from a motor drop. It changes sidehills, climbs, etc., so much. I just swapped a Traxxas A-arm link and ran it to the opposite side of the axle. Super fast. Super easy. Full steering. Traxxas parts so it’s tough. I don’t hit my servo horn or anything either. Nice full travel. Nice and low. Great video though. Just bought a used one to snag a pair of axles off of. Dude trashed the springs. Like noodles.

Those are the VooDoo KLR tires. They’re pretty nice on the rocks. The wheels great if you thread lock the bolts all the way around. 👍🏽🐒🇺🇸

A&M Garage make both the shackle reverse kit in the front and the skid plate. The Holmes 20t is a 5 slot so it's about the same as a 45t.

TRF2 science!! The Bow House shackle mounts for the rear leaf springs work fantastic. Great upgrade.

Not just the steering rod and shocks because the offset pumpkins the front drive shaft is hitting the gearbox the transfer box needs turning round so the front drive shaft is straight not going from left to right. You need to turn the servo round so the servo shaft is to the front of the chassis not as it is at the moment the axle will not hit the servo arm at all.

Looks to be a Kit do to the 2spd. Has A&M Garage High clearance skid and shackle reversal kit. I just installed the Skid on my daughters TF2.

nice brother, it shouldn't be too fast with that smaller gear, don't forget that the 20T crawlmaster sport is a 5 slot motor so speed wise it will be closer to a 40t 3 slot motor but WAY smoother, you'll like it bro!!

The shackle reversal and skid are a&m garage. There is a way to get underdrive out of it and stuff. Look into it

Hey Buddy. A Crawlmaster has 5-armatures(pole) A 20-turn Crawlmaster will have the speed of a 30 to 35 turn 3-armatures motor but the smoothness start-up of a 50-turn 3-armature motor.....or smoother.

I turned the servo around so the splined shaft is towards the front of the truck allowing clearance.

Nice! Tg is titanium gear. Savox are great value servos, run the shorties on my drift and touring rigs. I’ve got a bunch of the Amazon 30/25/35kg look-a likes too, which are great, but don’t center or last as long.

The 1080 is an awesome ESC, if you need a program card I got a couple spares. And as others have said, the Holmes puller motors are built differently, you should check out his channel or shop for more info.

Piece together another axil out of spare parts didn't have a skid plate so I just made mine out of a hunk of sheet stainless steel so shiny forever

That 5 slot crawlmaster is like a 45 or 50 turn 3 slot, so it'll be fine. To me, a 20 turn five slot can lack wheel speed, depending on the vehicle, so you should be all good with the two speed. There are some nice A&M parts on there too. Flipping the motor is a good mod, but I prefer to just put a GCM scale driveline in because I find it's by far the best mod you can make to a TF2 in how it drives. When it comes to the driveshaft, if it's not touching, send it! lol The ORings are a good trick, but I can never use it because I use the scale ubolt kits. Check your spring ends, I bet they're Chino modded as well. All good little tricks that add up.

Very nice truck. Will the gelande 2 hoops give me more travel and articulation? Ive got lift blocks and 100mm shocks in the front as well as the rear

Have you or anybody on KZbin made a video about an easy fix for when the knuckle screw holes in the housing get stripped out? Or is the only solution, to buy a new housing?

That’s the easiest fix. you’d have to have m4 hardware and a drill and tap, and if you could find a brass bushing that’d fit, drill it all out and it not interfere with your inner wheel. You can get an entire front axle (yota2) on eBay from China for $30 now days.

The servo can’t move locations though. If I run the link from the horn to the other tire under suspension travel it will create a lot of bump steer.

@@RCeveryday No it won't create bump steer. It'll be fine. It's not linked and it not a 30mph trail truck.
