Whether it is Outrigger OR Dragon Boat Paddling - they are both SINGLE BLADED Movements - So BIO-MECHANICS of Generating SPEED from POWER with TRACTION have the SAME ISSUES ...
Power APPLIED one SIDE at a TIME vs Kayaking / Surfski which is a BILATERAL stroke
Let's talk about some of the biggest "CONS" in Paddling technique ( Disclaimer - I have FRACTURE HIP in this video .. so it HURTS to do this ..so not exactly perfect form )
1. Fake REACH
2. Lunging vs REAL ROTATION
3. "Long" Strokes with Wrong Power Phase
4. Pause your stroke in the BACK
IF you DRILL with incorrect Physics .. you will RACE Incorrectly😭

Entering at 45 degrees and keeping it at 90 degrees as long as possible, helps me with visualizing. Thanks.

Don't be DOING a "False" Longer Stroke .. end up "pulling the E-Brake " to slow the boat down !🤣🤣
