I love this channel so much! When I’m DJ’ing my Mackie ProFX6v3 always comes with me, I keep a Yamaha MG06X too which STAYS in my backpack 🎒. When I’m doing a wedding the MG06X is my ceremony rig and my ProFX6v3 comes to the ballroom with me for receptions. ALL other events, one of those Mixers are connected beside my RANE ONE or DDJ-REV5. I still own my Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV1 which only has RCAs…I run RCA to 1/4 cables from the board into mixer and the sound is 💯🔥to my EV’s 🔊🔊

how do you get the sound output to 10 pair of power speakers? not all the same size or brand or power so I need a master volume along with 10 individual level controls. a board with 10 sllides and a main rotary volume, usb input and RCA/xlr outputs is what I think I want but can't find much of nothing. thanks for the help

What about adding a DI box? instead of external mixer

Great question. A DI Box will actually reduce the volume of your DJ controller. If you use a DI box between your DJ controller and speakers, then you need to switch your speakers to "mic level" and you will get a decent volume again.

Hello, Isaac here. I mix with a controller and a laptop , i have on the software Headroom at 3 i can go to 12. I have a pair of studio speakers also on 3 it sounds good but i keep on listening on sound quality as im watching more videos of mixing. So, would you please be able to tell me if i am mixing with 3 desk an the forth on remix set desk plus i do effects, if i can get better sound or louder. Do you go XLR directly from your DJ Controller to your Mackie ProFx or do you go XLR to a 1/4 TRS and into the LIne -in input on your ProFx? Second, from your ProFx Main Output, do you get more volume using the XLR out or the 1/4 out (using a 1/4 TRS cable) or is it the same? Thanks !!

I always go into the line input on my audio mixer. This keeps my XLR inputs free for microphones that need a good preamp. From the ProFX, both outputs have the same output level.

So what is the rule in how to adjust volumes when the dj controller is connected to the audio mixer? When do you adjust mixer volume and when do you adjust controller volume? And is just the main output volume on the mixer as well as a line volume on the mixer that your're messing with?

It’s surprising how many djs I’ve ran into that are playing and the sound is harsh mids are piercing the ears mixer line in the red young and veteran DJs 🤦🏽‍♂️

QQ-@kettnercreative Do the RCA cables I run from the control to the external audio mixer have to have a TRS or XLR end to be balanced or does RCA with ANY end make it balance because it's being placed through the external mixer?
