I saw your section on those unsubscribing from channels and honestly I call shenanigans. I have subscribers saying they are being removed BY KZbin multiple times. This started with the major changes in June/July 2020. It is clearly created by KZbin, not organic subscribers (or negative subs)

I put a 15 second plug in the middle of my video to ask to Subscribers and my new subscribers went up 4x compared to previous videos, but my retention dropped by 10% at that point in the video. But it seems that the number of new subs you get per views is the most important metric the algorithm uses to determine whether to recommend to a larger audience, other than clickthrough and watch time.

Tomorrow will be 6 weeks in and I've taken everything I've ever learned about KZbin and applied. With a few months of prep time before we launched, the channel is currently at 312 subscribers and has close to 10k hours of watch time. I'm sure by 'normal standards' this is awesome and amazing growth. But like you said, don't compare myself to others, just my own data. I have to thank this video specifically for telling me that different styles of channels may have more risk and grow slower but isn't necessarily wrong because you aren't growing fast.

Currently I’ve been making videos for about 1 and a half months now , 1-2 videos per day, and I am currently at 51 subscribers! So I’m guessing maybe in another 2 months from now I will hit 100 subscribers!!

I have 429 Subs right now, I started in Sep 2021 but didnt have a real actionable plan until Aug 2022. I reached 100 in Aug 2022. Still watching this video because I like to learn more about other people's approaches and feel like there is always room for improvement.

Hoping your advice can help me out. I'm not even trying to get monetized. Just using KZbin as a platform to break my social awkwardness 🙂

I am curious if anyone can answer this question including vidIQ: As someone who made content around many different things on my main channel, I've seen from research that sticking to one thing on a channel is best for the algorithm and for consistency in the future. As someone who made that mistake of doing too many things on the channel and has now found one niche to stick to, should I remove all my other videos on my channel or keep them there? Do those videos being there affect the channel?

If a video that has nothing to do with what you make today is getting loads of views and subs then it will be impacting long term channel performance because the next thing that's presented to the viewer isn't what they really want to watch. It might be worth unlisting of privating the videos that appeal to the wrong audience.
@OrionInSpace2 жыл бұрын
@@vidIQ ok so what you are saying is to private or un-list all video's that don't relate to the niche that I want to do on my channel?

I started uploading videos just over a month ago and every single one of my subscribes are organic, I have had my youtube channel since 2013 , but as a viewer. I finally felt confident enough in what I do to make tutorials :D , it's been exciting and I hope I'm doing it right , but I know I will imporve.

It has been over a year now of KZbin on this channel for me and I have not made a lot of success, I have made around 4 videos in the span of 24 hours and if anything I have only lost subs, it is just so hard to grow on KZbin these days 😔
