Thanks Rob! One of my favorite videos of yours. I always remember the video you did way back when you were trying to predict how many days it would take for the average channel to get to 100 subscribers (62 days) and 1000 subs/ 4k watch time (1 yr to 18 months). I did everything in my power to listen to you use all the advice that I got from You, Dan, Jefe, Savage, Sean Canell, Nate, The Nimmins, and a few others and implement and adjust all that information into things that work best for my channel. In 16 days, My channel will become 1 year old, and right now we are at 2343 subs, 21000 watch hours, 390k views, and have already started producing enough income to replace that of about 25% of my current career outside of KZbin. It's definitely sill going to be a long journey, as I have my growth goals mapped out for 7 years (1m subs, 100k annual net revenue), but through your help, that future looks bright, my friend. Thanks for everything you do. You're truly appreciated.

This was such a great idea, Rob! So much knowledge was just dropped. One of my biggest goals is to get better at my video hooks. It’s the one place where I feel I have the biggest opportunity for growth. I can’t tell you how much additional traffic I get from my end screens. I couldn’t recommend doing that enough. I will link an older video that is not really getting traffic anymore to a new video and will bring it back to life! I love evergreen videos. Most of my videos are evergreen videos and get traction over time through search. I love how you talked about where Mr. Beast and MKBHD started. I love going back through larger creators channels and seeing where it all began, because everyone starts at zero…and I always try to keep that in mind when I’m struggling sometimes! Best of luck to my fellow creators out there! ☺️

One of the keys is to take full advantage of the tools you DO have access to... I can't tell you how many channels I see that have access to the community tab that aren't using it at all, or just using it in a very ineffective way. Every little thing you do and much bigger effects down the road. Keep it rollin'!

Hey guys. When you say one niche, I have a question. Can the niche be as broad as Digital Marketing? Or would it be best to be specific? So if I have three paid courses, and want to build a channel to promote those...Under Facebook Ads, Email Marketing, and Copywriting...Is it okay to have these three categories under the main niche Digital Marketing? Or would you suggest three different channels in this case? THANKS SO MUCH, YOU are one of my favorites to watch as I decide to commit to KZbin in 2022.

Placing chapters in my videos ruined my retention rate and i'm pretty sure I won't do it again, until i'm at least monetized. It was a bad experiment for my small channel LOL! I definitely see the appeal but, people skip around the video anyway. This may be a unpopular opinion but, I believe TikTok ruined viewers. People want that instant gratification and also continually need entertained. It especially hurts when viewers don't know you personally and only want the information then leave the video. I'm trying not to take it too personally though because i'm the same way! Ha!

I always transcribe my videos. I used to do it by myself, but lately I noticed a huge improvement in the work KZbin does for you. In a 10 minutes video I have to correct like 3 words and add the punctuation. If you don't have the money to invest on a paid service, starting from the You Tube generated transcript will save you tons of time.

Playlist Advice Question: (for anyone who'd like to answer). I have several videos to put together in one playlist. Each video should proceed the other. Once a viewer finishes one video, I recommend the next during the end screen (as recommended here.) My question is how would you advise best uploading? All together? Otherwise, if posing one at a time, when I suggest watching the next video, the next video may not have been uploaded yet. Has anyone else faced this issue? Suggestions? Thanks.

My goal is to make videos about our travels that my family and friends want to watch, videos that allow them to feel like they are traveling with us. “Come look at the pictures I took on my trip” can be a horrifying request that often leads to complete boredom. I wouldn’t want to do that to anyone. I suspect a lot of your tips can help me reach my goal. If my kids, grandkids and friends actually watch my videos and enjoy them I will be happy. I like the idea of developing a slogan and a vision and spending time figuring out what has worked in the past. And planning before producing. Thanks for the inspiration Rob! And BTW 99% of my filming and production has been on an iPhone. What’s possible is pretty amazing and makes for a lot of fun!
