At the end of the video where I recommended to hoard rare crests. I just wanted to clarify that hoarding the telluric fragments that you get from running crests is what's important as these can be used to craft a specific gem of your choice. So you can run the crests just save the fragments! I suspect they will add more gems like Mourneskull in the future so fragments will be extremely important then if you want to use them for crafting

The UI designer for this game deserve to be changed. Many interfaces are so NOT users friendly. Eg. Daily gems counter, BG interface (accidentally clicking pop up menu), BG blocking views with the walls on the right side etc. Also, for this gem crafting, common sense will lead us to the same 5 stars fragment crafting menu. I believe many players are clueless how to craft it after the event ended.

1:05 Just a note: I just went to the elder rift and I have the updated drop pool active. A notification popped up that says "Mourenskull no longer drops from Elder rifts, please select a new gem." I was then required to choose another 2 star gem. So this confirms your thought that it no longer drops. Just FYI.

I commented on another YTer's video to a person inquiring how many Telluric Pearls would be needed, with the math break down of what it should be if Devs stayed fair. I'm relieved to see that they did since I mathed out that it should be 4 Telluric Pearls lol But my word... I agree that the devs overlooked or were on shrooms when they decided HOW to make it possible to use the Pearls to craft after the event ended.

My math on how I deduced it would take 4 Pearls via C&P of my comment to another person on another video: If in fact it will use Telluric Pearls instead of Telluric Fragments that most other 2* gems use to be crafted with (devs have typo'd many times before)... 40x Pearls equals 1x 2/5 5* gem crafted, which crushed would equal 32x gem fragments. So essentially, 1x Pearl equates to 0.8 gem fragments "value" each. 1x 2* gem crushed equals 4 gem fragments. So essentially a 2* gem crafted with Pearls, if done mathematically fair, would require 5x Pearls for 1x Mournskull crafted gem instead of 80x Telluric Fragments like normally done. Again, assuming devs didn't err by way of a typo in previous Patch Notes.

Mournskull doesn’t drop in elder rift anymore. Or does it. The game made pick a different gem in the pool. There was a message saying as much.

On Baal server Mournskull went to 4000-4200. I bought 16 of them at this level. If I waited 5 days I could have saved 16000 platinum as they drooped to 2900-3100. But now they are bake up to 6000-6500.

Just a word of warning though. This feature of crafting is actually overriding LOCKED gems in your bag to use as gem power. So be careful. I have screenshots showing the feature using my locked gems

I was able to craft two extra mourneskull, so I was able to not sell 2 unbound copies not at 4-5k plat range, but 11k range as people started panicking due to this issue. Now price is set at 14k as of now. Was good option to buy when everyone were selling it at 4k and resell now :)

Hey, I'm pretty sure Mourneskull don't drop anymore from elder rift, when I tried to run yesterday with the preselected pool which still had MS selected it showed me an error that this gem is no longer in the pool and I have to selected another one.

@@jmd9mm No, you can craft all of those directly with telluric fragments. All excepet the battlepass ones: Fervent Fang and Grim Rhythm. In the future I can see they add more gems like Mourneskull which can be crafted like this

Hi, yes, for now Telluric Pearl crafting only works with Mourneskull. Grim Rhythm and Fervent Fang copies are only available from the Battlepass, Boon of Plenty and the Battle Archive Shop

I have mine at rank 7. I have copies to rank it to 8. Had to stop to focus on other gems. Is it worth it to rank it up? So many mixed reviews on this gem. Which was one reason I held off.. in getting bottles hope, void spark and hilt of many realms. I have 6 copies that droped in the rift of golden. firmament Current gems to replace pain clasp, Fervant fang and vipers bite. Mournskull is still there unless the 4 5 start I mentioned should replace what I mentioned

I would consider replacing hilt or viper for it. If I were you I would try out the rank 7 in place of one of those and see how it does. Remember that the gem gives the least damage bonus on single target so test on the dummy will be the gem at it's worst. You can expect that in gameplay with multiple targets it will perform considerably better. The good thing about ranking up 2-stars is that with the new system you can always slot them into 5-stars so you don't have to worry about "losing" any gem power to upgrade them anymore

I use it now with my build. PvE it's good didn't realize it's not as good single target. Viper is only rank 6 as I was going to replace it with void spark or hilt once I get them. Bottled hope just waiting on a good price. Other gems in use rank 4 BSJ, gloom, rolling, wolfheart. Rank 7 is PClasp, fervent fang, plus mourne. Knowing what 5 stars I'm trying to get. Still keep mourne, viper, PClasp? I still have not used or ranked up golden firmament

Wow, thank you for wading through this latest instance of horrendous and inconsistent UI design and explaining it. I hope you’re able to convey to the devs just how bad and confusing you think it is, and I’ll put my voice behind that. While you’re at it, as another commenter has mentioned, please request a more convenient redesign of the gem counter, such as (like everyone I’d heard suggest it considered common sense) put it in the codex. As it is, I can’t be arsed to even check the damned thing lol. When I’m in a party, I want to actually play and contribute, and don’t want to be repeatedly scrolling through rapidly-changing buffs to try to catch what it says!

Indeed. I prefer having the old system of crafting with Fragments! Or at least give us both options of Pearls and Fragments available. At least they did extend the Eternal war event and warned us about it in advance 😔

Here's the real question: Is this gem even worth having a rank ten copy? is it THAT good? I hoarded dupes but don't use the gem as part of any of my builds for Sader. Just wondering if I'll ever use this gem for any reason. What do you all think? Is it worth going through the effort to get it to rank 10?

@@flyripgaming6424 yes it's in the top out of 2-star gems! Almost at the same level as Pain Clasp for me. The problem is the investment for it now is too high imo. If you already have the copies then it's worth it. If you're starting fresh I wouldn't bother

@@Mao_DI My only hesitation is that, and I could be wrong, against single targets you lose a bit of effectiveness due to how it requires 5 enemies to be hit for full effectiveness. I suppose it could be kept and used for specific builds for things like Trial of Horde or other multi-target use. Always appreciate your detailed videos, Mao. Keep up the great work man!!

Mourneskull is a good gem unfortunately you can't even craft it anymore 😅 it goes 5000k plat on our server which is reasonable which made all 5 star gem pretty useless

I don't recommend it if you're starting from 0. In my case I already had it at rank 9 and only needed a few more dupes to get it to 10
