Before you even start ads, you'd want to have a customer avatar. Create the perfect customer - give them a name, interests, location, income, family, hobbies etc. Then target that person via ads. Since you already have accounts, you could look at your Insights to give you more of an idea of who's already following. - C

Hi Kayce, there was actually a temporary glitch that wouldn't allow users to use an existing post for an ad. Have you tried again? It should hopefully be cleared up by now. The glitch happened Monday night through Tuesday this week (it's Wednesday afternoon now). - C

The only way would be to run it from the Boost Post option, which isn't optimal as it doesn't have a fraction of the targeting options. - C

Hi John, it sounds like instead of applying the ad to an existing post in your feed, you created a "ghost" ad that kind of lives on its own. When you create the ads, you need to select an existing post to use and then you'll see the likes/views. - C

I see “Ad Center”, not Ads Manager. Is it the same thing? Update perhaps? I don’t see the exact same pieces you are showing, but a similar thing.

I see both, Ad Centre is different and only covers some things / better for editing. Ads Manager is where you run the ads, I haven't heard of anyone not being able to see it, that's odd. Not sure what to suggest if it's not there aside from contacting Facebook Help. - C

Great video. I'd also add no 6: create lookalike audience of the custom engagers. But I also have a question tho :D I saw people run story swipe up ads with the swipe up CTA "visit instagram profile." Now, is that a matter of the campaign objective or the platform you use to run ads (like facebook ads manager vs the instagram native in app ads platform)? When you run a traffic campaign through facebook ads manager, there are a bunch of CTAs (learn more being the default) but there's no "visit instagram profile" I mentioned.

Hey Ivan, Ads Manager doesn't have a "Visit Instagram Profile" CTA so that would mean they ran it in-app, which obviously isn't anywhere near as optimal as via Ads Manager. - C

@@Highseasonco that's what I expected, however, when you run ads in the Insta app, at least you get sent to the profile in the app when you swipe up, as opposed to the browser via traffic ad (as explained in the video). The down side is ofc the inability to go in depth audience wise
