I traveled for business a lot. As time went by, I replaced hard suite cases, which weighed alot, with parachute duffle bags which weighed next to nothing, and took up a lot less room, and were easy to pack. Majority of time I didn't check them. It was easier and faster to get around and to run between terminals with light weight flexible bags. They also stored easily overhead and under seats. Travel became more enjoyable.

I'm from an older generation and watching this video made me wonder if we really need more and more plastic organization items. Everyone, please, if possible try to be more responsible and buy only the things what are really necessary for you and take care of those items so that they can serve you for a long time. We must also think of the future generations. Please try to find alternatives to plastic where you can etc. (Hermione, I love your videos and your personality, it's nothing against you, it's a general observation. I wish you all the best!)

I couldn't agree more. Also, how on earth is one taking ALL that stuff when traveling? I tend to travel really light.
@salala44122 жыл бұрын
@@judy-angedv7590 Hermione didn't go on vacation, but temporarily moved to another continent for work, but she continues to travel and shoot videos, which I think requires significantly more technical equipment and beauty products than a tourist trip. (I think it's always very difficult to live out of a suitcase on another continent by "planning" for an indefinite period of time. You don't want too much stuff in your new place, but also things can easily pile up in your temporary home, especially if you have to travel more and even between your two homes. Also one of the reasons is that we're humans and we try to make the new place more comfortable and homely.)

Love you Hermionie. Not sure if you'll get to read my comment but I thought I should share my experience with you anyway. I've been so stressed with all the things I've collected over years and decades. I've become a slave to my things and not feeling peace or safety at my home. So last week I've started proper decluttering by taking at least one granny trolley full of things to my local charity shop every single day. I'll continue until the day I'll feel I have the right amount that I don't have to spend much of my precious time organising stuff and I will find it effortless to manage. My home has been a mess since I started decluttering, but gradually it's starting to feel a bit clearer and lighter. Can't tell you how good I'm feeling checking myself at the mirror and realising I'm not surrounded my all the mess as usual. I've got too many hobbies like dress making, DIY, sketching, painting, cooking, baking, ballroom and Latin dancing, gardening and learning about psychology, world religions, relationships and so many things. But all the stuff related to my hobbies has made me feel too overwhelming and I've decided to shed all those things I've accumulated. I'm in my 30s and I'm asking myself, given the fact we have a limited time in my life and i don't know when I'll die, do i really want to spend sewing a dress or knitting or letting all my course notes and handouts and books occupy my precious space. They are hindering my growth and making me feel overwhelmed and stressed out. I've realised this complicated storage solutions and bags with so many compartments make my life more stressful, unhappy and disorganised. I've learnt simplified storage and having less help me to manage less, want less and make me feel liberated. I'm seeking peace, mental clarity and freedom. Hopefully I can detach myself from all the things I've accumulated and considered part of my identity. I heard somewhere "anything more than you need is greed". It made me realise how much of a hoarder I've allowed myself to be. It's draining to be surrounded by all the things. Can't wait to manage less and have more time to experience peace.

I’m overwhelmed a lot with clutter. I was just walking through my living and dining room space thinking 🤔 I don’t need all of this crap. It’s causing me anxiety. I’m constantly thinking of how I’m gonna decorate for the holidays, especially Christmas, because I have so many Christmas trees, which is insane. I think I’m gonna scale way back and only decorate one room, instead of trying to decorate all of them. Thanks for sharing your decluttering journey. This video gave me a lot of insight into my own problems.

I'm loving those bags! Very well thought out and beautiful, too. I'm in my 4th year of June's Journey. Great way to wind down at the end of the day.

I echo those who have been asking if you're okay. I'm not clear on where you are at the moment but my heart ached for you when I read about the tragedy in Seoul. Praying you're safe.

Hi. Lovely to see you back. Just a quick tip... Try closing the zips on your laptop bag on the side and not the top, it will stay shut... (works for any zip up bag or case) !

I love organising everything in little baskets, so my drawers look tidy and I can find things easily. I have the same bag organiser, it's so practical, and when I use smaller bags, I put things in little pouches. Organising is one little joy of life, and it's a good way to care for your possessions. I once saw my sister's boyfriend with a Switch in a hold gym back, no protection, joycons just lying in the bottom with games not put back in their boxes. I couldn't help but instantly judging him for not taking good care of something so expensive. It says a lot about the way you were raised 😞 We didn't have a lot of money growing up, and we were taught to look after our things. Anyway, would you be able to share a bit of your life in Korea with us? What kind of job do you do? Do you speak Korean? How is it to live in Korea compared to London? Are you okay as a foreigner? Only if you feel comfortable of course, I find it incredibly inspiring to see someone being able to find a job where you get to travel between the UK and Korea. I'm wishing you best, you look really happy 💜
