It's because the lesbian/bi in us is tricking ourselves into believing they are still a catch for us because, in theory, every woman we fancy has the potential to be our girlfriend ;) but, all in all, we can't help but fall in love with a straight girl, not because she is straight but because of her personality or essence. We can only be realistic with ourselves. We shouldn't be refraining from loving that person, whether they are straight or not, but we can at least understand their personal boundaries and love them from a distance. The same way guys can't help but fall in love with girls even if they happen to be lesbian or bisexual, and yet they can still respect the boundaries while loving them anyway.
