I coughed on my blunt while catching this seemingly intentional funny moment ... 3:04 - 3:18 "Now Smack Attack's - Attack Control, also has 3 different shaping options. You got your "Needle" shape, your "Nail" .... and your "BLUNT" shape" LMAO ... "each one has a UNIQUE WAY of LIGHTING UP or CHILLING OUT your sound" thanks for the kind advice sir, keep those BLUNTS lit while tweaking! LMAO!

so it's essentially a compressor under the hood right?

"Now let me show you what the 'Attack' does by changing four different parameters simultaneously in various directions. ...and so you can really hear the snare, I'll solo it while also playing five other instruments channels and talking over it." Naw but good job tho.

Why was the mono version used? This does not allow a decent comparison

Will this help me actually record my drum tracks to a PC and mix each drum to get the sound I want?

strange but I did notice a difference in stereo image when you Bypassed and Engaged the plug-in on the Keys ... ? Not sure why that would be
@dw54326 күн бұрын
Same here. I noticed it too.

This could be better as a multiband version
@ed71323 жыл бұрын
there is such a volume jump when the plug-in is engaged that its hard to hear the actual difference in the transients... some proper A/B testing would have been nice so we can hear the sonic qualities rather than just cranking the track. But then again, this does seem aimed at the trap/rap producers who just want fucked hitting drums lol

Because when you boost the "Attack" Parameter, you're actually boosting the transient peaks of your audio, and you can't just boost without noticing an increase in volume. It's not like the "attack" value is linked to any automatic volume compensation algorithm. I don't know any transient shaper plugin that ever had it implemented.

Not as cool or unique as Eventide Fission but still useful. Good video.

sonnox envolution

Envolution is cool too but doesn't do anything near what Fission does.
@andivax7 жыл бұрын
Envoluition is IDEAL envelope processor. Fission is creative thing, not very clear sounding very often but great!

too much talking over the effect adjustments, makes ABing the curves totally worthless!
