I’ve handled over 10,000 claims the last 27 years and started my construction company using agents. Nobody really does what I do in my market. Plus, using verbiage that agents use is critical for them to know you’re different. Good video.

Had a father and son who lived side by side reach out to an insurance agent and inquire about a home owners policy for their homes. The agent wanted to get both policies so he/she quoted them a super low quote. The father and son didn’t take the time to review the policies and just focused on their monthly payment. Fast forward a year or two later and a storm damages both of their roofs and we all find out together that they both had $5,000 deductibles which is why they had cheap rates. I referred them both to “my insurance agent” and let them know the agent they used totally screwed them over.

It may be a little tricky telling another professional that you know what their largest threats and opportunities are. Would it be better off to ask the agent open ended questions concerning how you can help their business, or asking them what their biggest threats & opportunities are? Good stuff my guy! You are very knowledgeable in this field, and I certainly learned a lot from you. I’m interested to read your feedback on my comments. Keep it up!

Hey Adam, love your channel. I’ve used so much of this information to better my own business. My question to you is: How to find door to door sales reps? You may already have a video on this and if so, please point me in the right direction. Thank you and God bless!

Hey Austin, GREAT question! I haven't done a video on it, but I do have an entire training on that topic called How to Build Your Dream Team. In a nutshell - run hiring ads targeting the TYPE of person you want to hire: Industry pro, sales people from other industries, students, or "green beans" with no experience. Then have them call (NOT send a resume). Screen and qualify them. If they are good fit, bring 'em in for an interview. Interview them using the "truth detector" method to spot the 5 essential talents they need to succeed. IF they don't have all 5, end the interview and let 'em know it's not a good fit. IF they are a good fit, switch to "selling them" on the job and WHY they should choose your company. Last thing --- you can also recruit from local places like bars, restaurants, valets, service industry jobs, etc. When you spot good people, recruit 'em! If you have any questions or want info about this program, go here to get it: www.theroofstrategist.com/build-your-dream-team or here to get it along with everything else :) www.theroofstrategist.com/get-roofing-sales-success-formula-owner-manager Questions? I’ve gone in to some insurance offices and gave donuts and left cards and some info about the company. In your experience do you think that will help get referral business or are the ideas you brought up more efficient?
@TheRoofStrategist4 жыл бұрын
Insurance agents are bombarded with people dropping off food and business cards - including windshield repair, flood restoration companies etc... From experience I will tell you that the strategies I teach are far, far more valuable and impactful. After you develop the relationship, I'd drop off food and swing by to maintain the relationship - but just dropping off donuts will have little impact on inspiring an agent to send you business simply because there's not much in it for them. When you use what I teach, it gives the agent a ton of value :)

Would it be a bad idea to go to insurance adjusters offices and offer your service and leave a card?
@TheRoofStrategist2 жыл бұрын
I personally would not. Those relationships can evolve organically (meeting adjusters on roofs), but I personally wouldn't "market" to the them.

Adam, Im a independent D2D marketer and I’m looking to partner with a roofing company in FL. I don’t know a lot about the roofing industry but I’m really good at finding damaged roofs and building trust at the door with homeowners. How would I go about partnering with a roofing company and what would be a fair deal for referrals. Fyi, I only plan to work with one company exclusively.
@TheRoofStrategist4 жыл бұрын
Hey Aquil! I would search "Roofing Company [CITY NAME]" on Google and start reaching out to the highest rated companies. Nearly every company is always hiring when it comes to quality sales people or canvassers. Regarding compensation -- there's a lot of different ways to approach that: Everything from pay-per lead to base hourly + commission sharing. Here's another video to help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJjHi4yJpbZ5p5Y

I WORK FOR Apex Roofing and Restoration and we are one of the largest roofing companies in the south east. We have offices in orlando and SWfl. Also have offices in mobile, pensacola, birmingham, and Nashville. YOu should check us out and reach out to the Owner. I have been in sales for 7 months and the owners are amazing guys that truly know their stuff. Adam I have been learning so much from your youtubes, thank you for what you do.

Hi Adam Do you believe having a public adjusters license would increase my odds in door knocking? I have a commercial roofing license but i have no leads. Im new to this industry so building my muscle in residential.

Also, i cant believe how incredibly cheap your program is!! This all seems so good. People are sleep on you Adam. Plenty of golden nuggets on your channel!

Thanks my dude. Appreciate the kind words. I set out to create truly affordable programs for the "under served" segment in the industry -- the independent sales person (even if they are brand new), and company owners who are ready to really, really grow. In response to your question about a public adjuster license. I don't think it will make any difference to be honest.

@@TheRoofStrategist that's a little disappointing. But i believe it would help more on the contractor side after i get the job. Ive heard how other G.C.s had to hire a P.A. to assist in finishing the job. By the way, my name is Melissa😁
