Angie, I know you like the Timeless skin vitamin c, and I did too, until I discovered Eva's Naturals .( A family owned company in Louisana). Their vitamin C 20% serum is phenomenal, and has zero tackiness. I'm a 69 year old man and now have no age spots on my hands. I also use their peptide complex serum and 2.5 retinol cream. Thier prices are less than 1/3rd of Paula's choice, but I find just as effective.

Thank you for all this information! I was extremely sick from breast implants, but had no idea they were causing the plethora of pain, autoimmune diseases, organ failures and surgeries, latent infections that manifested, mold toxicity (My condo had unseen mold.), fibromyalgia, sensitivities to foods and anything else on this earth for over 12 years, until someone called my daughter and said he thought I had this. I did! What came out of me was so disgusting, that it’s proof enough that it is a very real problem in our world. I lost everything (my teaching career, my relationships, my money, my family, etc.), and I’m on a budget because of the out of pocket expenses. * If ANYONE is considering breast implants… DON’T DO IT! Doctors lie! Anyway, 4 years after I had them removed, I feel about 70% better. At first, I felt great, but got an infection from the hospital, so I’m still in pain and get sick all the time from whatever I come around, even gardening from the mold and pathogens. Anyway, Thank God, that he blessed me with a nice face, and it’s now looking old. Yuck! I need something to brighten up my skin. I have one brown spot, my neck is crepey, and I feel old, but don’t want to look it! Any thoughts from anyone? Thank you!

Happy Friday Skincare Lovers! Couple of notes on this video: 1. Apparently OTC Hydroquinone has been banned in the US as of 9/23/20 (I did manage to link Ambi cream on Amazon containing 2% Hydroquinone?). You'll still be able to get it via prescription from your doctor or through Agency: bit.ly/3tvS1yf 2. I'm talking about age spots caused by sun exposure in this video, not Melasma. If you have melasma consult your dermatologist for advice. 3. People with darker skin tones can experience more discoloration/skin darkening from light based treatments so the treatments I got will not be appropriate for everyone. Always consult a doctor to select treatments for your skin. OK, that's it. xo ~angie

One note: it is important to get a correct diagnosis from a dermatologist as not all spots are sun spots. It may be SK. Also for Asian skin - laser therapy may actually cause hyperpigmentation - so very important to work with a dermatologist.

This is a very good point. . I had 2 IPLs and the first one killed about a dozen spots but the 2nd had zero effect. However, even my derm providers didn’t consider that my spots might have been hyperpigmentation of the Asian kind . It may have been because they didn’t have a lot of experience with Asian skin? It happened to be a laser tech who was training the team on how to use a new laser that my spots were most likely caused by my Asian genes.

This was a lot of information contained in one video. I really appreciate your honest reviews on these therapies. For me, I think I would find it helpful if I could watch this info in smaller segments, i.e. *Sunscreen for older women. *Skin rejuvenation products that actually give results. *Age Spot products that give results. *Morning, Night, and Moisturizing skin products that actually work. Billions of dollars are wasted every year on products that have pretty labels, sophisticated packaging, or the initials Dr. or MD on them. It's such a scam. Thanks SOOOOO much for sharing all this info in a clear, organized way!!! I'm going to be 50, menopause knocked my door a year ago. And past month I started noticing some darkening on my higher cheekbones. I'm very careful with sun exposure, but I feel these are due to hormonal changes. It's been a very, very hard year to adjust to menopause and all changes that come with it. I can't afford the laser treatments, but I'm going to begin using topical ones that you suggest. Thanks again for your insights!

Angie, THANK YOU for dividing your video into sections!!! It makes watching (and rewatching for specific topics) so much easier! Also, for what it's worth, I've had professional IPL treatments 6-8 times on my legs, hands and arms for brown spots. I've had mixed results. Sometimes the brown spots disappear (yay); sometimes they get a little lighter but stick around; and sometimes I scar! It's not something you hear much about, but it is possible to get permanent scarring from IPL. For me, it shows up in 2 different ways: totally bleaching the treated area so it's lighter than all of the skin around it (the opposite of the brown spot I had originally) and/or actually putting a divot in my skin and changing my skin texture in that area. I use my Kenzzi now and haven't had any problems yet. Just thought others might like to know that scarring is a possibility. BTW, my skin tone is light (almost, but not quite as light as yours, Angie) with a slight olive tint.

I took 2 Advil and two Tylenol before my recent IPLs and experienced very little discomfort compared to my first experience. I’m not sure whether the machine that was used was new and improved, or taking over the counter pain reliever, made the big difference. My objective was to get rid of little blood vessels causing redness, and there was a big difference after my first treatment but not a noticeable difference after the second visit!

All I can say is that video was brave. Those dark-spot buggers are stubborn. So, yes, check with your dermatologist, like Angie said. I have some rosacea and latent acne around my nose and, for some reason, any light therapy, including Omnilux, makes that condition worse. I've had to go with topicals and am still trying. The three or four large dark spots that I have, have faded, but still have a little to go. Love your naked skin, Angie. So pretty.
@elizabethgrayson5303 жыл бұрын
52 here, I never had any brown spots until I started using tretinoin (but at the time I didn't realize they were being caused by the tretinoin) ...then I read that tretinoin vitamin A (retin-a) gets rid of them, so I started using it more...and they got worse and worse! It took me a number of years to figure out it was the A that was doing it! During those years I tried everything to get rid of them, the red lights, every type of exfoliation treatment, etc. It wasn't until I just stopped using all these "treatments" that they went away! All these treatments can actually aggravate your skin and cause the brown spots.

For those around Boston area, go with MGB dermatologists who specialize in your skin type. I have brown skin and went with their dermatologist who leads harvards brown skin program and also melanoma program. I started with an overall “ picotoning” and then followed it ZOOM handpiece 785nm for the lentigines along with gentlemax laser for brown spots and finally EIGHT PASSES of dual fraxel laser on face and neck. This was over a period of 1.5 years. My skin is 95% better than it ever was. I am now going back for a touch up for a gentlemax and dual fraxel in September.

I have begun eating whole lemons (one) everyday blended with blueberries and liquid stevia as a smoothie for a week now and I'm noticing my skin is starting to look better so I'm thinking, whole lemons are seeming to me, to promote healing from the inside, why not the outside?🤔🙂
