What a marvellous video ! Short, to the point. Delivered at a great tempo (what a natural presenter - kudos) & with a link to a paper (what a rare but essential adjunct in these days of poorly researched & presented information). UK based but I believe this product has been available here but as a beekeeper I’m somewhat wary. A balance between being happy to see bees, birds & wildlife (live and let live right) vs having plugs taken out of my lawn by the birds ! I shall do a bit of technical reading. Thanks so much.

Thanks so much Graeme. Glad you found the. content useful and interesting to watch. You got bamboozeled as I did. There have been many complaints about spectracide showing grubs on their front label when it has be shown that the chemicals in the bag don't cause any harm to the grubs. Sorry but if you have done a little bit of research online you would have found out about it. This is what you need to do this season depending on your region. Once the soil temperature 8 inch depth reaches 60 degrees apply bio advanced 24 hour grub killer plus. You are killing the grubs that hatched last season and went dormant during the winter, this suckers are the mature big grubs. Once you killed this mature grubs wait until the bettlees lay their eggs around June-early August . This time you can use what ron is using or by the Scots grub killer and preventative. You'll be trying to kill the eggs or baby grubs. Hope this helps

Hi degeze. My local Site One didn't have it when I was there a couple days ago, but the pricing in my link, is just as good if not better. The Acelepryn from Do My Own ships out of GA so you'll likely get it within 2 days. ron-henry.com/acelepryng For moles, you'll want to use a product called Talprid mole bait. Very informative video! Looks like this is the same active ingredient that is in GrubEx1. Any thoughts on getting one over the other? I'm treating for chinch bugs.
@RonHenry3 жыл бұрын
Hi familybarton. Same active ingredient but Acelepryn has almost 4 times the amount of active ingredient compared to Grubex so it does a much better job keep grubs away. One application provides season-long protection. If you're applying it for chinch bugs you'll need to get it down before they hatch for best results. Sooner is better than later. @RonHenry3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching Tom. Application isn't really tied to soil temperature Tom. Anytime in April and May is good to go. @@RonHenry Agree with Ron that you don't need both Caravan G and Acelepryn. But with Acelepryn, you still need a few apps of either Heritage or Headway. One thing to note, Acelepryn is really good to apply April - mid-June for best results. Caravan G is best in June/July for grub control.
