Sitting on my hand, tucking my chin. I discovered a way to intensify this stretch; basically going upside-down and using my lower-body weight to push the stretch much deeper

@[P]Rehab thanks for the video! I'm a little confused as to why you would pull the neck with the towel, since you can do the same exercise without pulling. Why pull any joint at all? And a question about stretches: Since you're holding these stretches for a while, should these be done after a warmup? I would only want to do dynamic stretches before holding anything. Thanks!

No joke, I havent been able to turn my head to the left in over 3 years since an injury to my shoulder/neck. After watching this video and doing the stretch at 3:00 min in (Upper Trapezius Stretch) I can proudly say I have never been so relieved... I actually came to tears because it felt/hurt so good to loosen whatever was sore in there. Thanks a TON!

Thank you! This video just took my neck pain from a 9.5 to like a 5. Nothing else has worked for me quite like these exercises. I greatly appreciate you giving away such helpful techniques for free on KZbin. It’s very obvious you guys know your stuff because it works right away. Thank you 🙏🏽

Thanks for the exercises. Anytime I do “that” stretch at 0:04, I’m out for a week with right side neck strain. Makes it where I can’t even turn my head or roll over in bed, sleeping becomes excruciating. It’s weird because every neck rehab video suggests that downward head stretch but it seems to actually cause injury in my experience.

Hi guys amazing content! Just one question, is there an order or sequence you prefer to work through Exercise vs Mobility vs stretching? Would you periodize or can you work through all in one day/week?
@NorseBoi_11 ай бұрын
Especially with consideration to someone who has been experiencing Rhomboid pain for the last year? Should I be going pretty light at the gym while I work through these exercises? I've been told by my physio to strengthen my rhomboids but it always leads to a fair amount of pain after, which means I have to stretch before bed to stop the pain from interrupting my sleep

Great video, I have been having a lot of neck issues this past year and while I love my physical therapist, I can only see him once a week so I need to learn how to take care of myself long term. You guys pretty much said all of the things he has said, which is great. You guys also seem to be genuine and really care and be invested in others feeling better, which I really appreciate. I am considering buying your $149, 8-week program! I had a question though: MRI showed a bulging disc at C6-C7 and arthritis in the intervertebral foramen pretty much throughout my 7 cervical vertebrae...will this program help me with issues like nerve pain in my shoulders/arms as well as mobility to prevent issues down the road? I just want to return to a pain-free life where I don't have to worry about looking to my left/right without aggravating a muscle or locking up my facet joints.

Hi Daniel, thank you for your support! The neck and mid back program involves a good amount of nerve gliding exercises throughout the whole upper extremity along with training the neck and entire shoulder complex. Feel free to shoot us over an email with any further questions!!!

Hi, I have suffered shoulder pain for seven years, as well as I have eaten a lot of medicine. I am also exercise but did not improve my shoulder pain. The doctor said me your problem in the neck, but I feel pain in the shoulder. please, give me proper advice. And gradually the shoulder pain is increasing. Sometimes, I can't tolerate it. Most other times I feel pain while sleeping. My age is 34 years and my weight is 60 kilo.

For the Prone TS - head lift, how many reps and sets would you recommend?
@ThePrehabGuys2 жыл бұрын
Great question, Winston! General rule of thumb is to shoot for 2-3 sets of 5-10 reps as long as form is not compromised!

Hey guys, I’m unable to do the stretch you’re doing at 5:20, because I get a block on the side I am bending towards. I.e, it’s the left side that stops me bending left and not the muscle I am trying to stretch on my left side Is it possible to get around this?

Also I wanted to ask you about workout recommendation for some clicking/snapping sounds between my left shoulder blade and spine. It is profound while I pull my left shoulder back or turn/tilt my head to the left shoulder... Thank you.
@ThePrehabGuys3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, generally if this clicking noise is not associated with any discomfort/pain then it is not considered abnormal!!!

I've been doing the scalene stretch as my upper trap stretch. What does turning your head during the upper trap stretch do? Also, what does doing a tin tuck do for you when performing the quadruped cervical flexing and extending rather than doing it without a chin tuck???
@utkarsh27463 жыл бұрын
A chin tuck ensures your neck flexors don't take over the movement and it ensures better alignment of the neck. Turning the head is also for the neck flexors.

I have a question. The towel stretch, I do this and it’s just gets tight again. My splenius muscles are super tight and sore and I feel like they need to be addressed because stretching is very temporary. Chronic daily headaches. Thank you 🙏🏼
@ThePrehabGuys3 жыл бұрын
Hey JO! Thanks for reaching out! Sometimes tightness is a result of weakness in a muscle. May be worth looking into strengthening some of the postural muscles and muscles in the neck to teach those muscles how to move through a full range but with strength! Definitely take a peek at our neck and midback program, I think it could be really beneficial for you and help with the headaches! So sorry you are dealing with those daily, rooting for you! theprehabguys.com/neck-mid-back-program/

You need to be careful and not crush the carotid artery with that "snag" technique. I showed this video to my teacher and he cringed.
