Hey, if someone here is anxious/nervous because of an audition or something like that, just convince yourself that you're excited. You just have to say that you're excited and believe it (or at least try to believe it). This works because the feeling of anxiousness is similar to the one of excitement.

I actually have a very funny experience of one of my first few auditions, I was given the script of a scene where some soldiers came into a girl’s house and were shouting at her for some reason. The voice of the girl was supposed to be like scared and shaky and my nervousness really helped to actually enhance the shaking. My voice was actually shaking but the character saved me- :D

I have to do an audition for a grade in my theater class in a few days, so I'll try these methods then. I have done an audition before for a play, and I got in! (I'm an alternate, but still good for my first year) But I always get the shakes halfway through a small performance and at the very end my heart feels like its gonna explode and I'm practically vibrating. No matter how prepared I am or how excited I try getting, it always ends like that. I'm hoping I this will help me, though, for not only this performance but for in the future in case the people im filling in for can't make it to a really important rehearsal or performance. Sorry this is so long lol.

I hope this helps because in my theatre class we’re performing a short version of the Scottish play by Shakespeare and my teacher casted me as Lady Macbeth and so I’m nervous I’m going to mess up since it is a pretty big grade, I know my lines fully but when I perform them my voice cracks or my brain fogs up or I don’t project loud enough so if anyone sees this if you have any more tips to help me I would appreciate that, thank you again!

A little background: I am dancer, i film tik toks every day and dance videos and it's more easy for me to act when i'm dancing My friend teached me acting at the beginning of quarantine and i didn't have no confidence in front of the camera and to do my acting scenes she gave me and didn't have the ability to remember script, and than we pose because it was hard and i didn't have time.. after this pose and couple mouths i tried to learn a script from a series video on tik tok, but this time i was combtable, and my expretitions were better, i got the script, after a couple months later i learned another script from a tik tok and performanced it in an audition to the theater pogram, i still didn't get the answer😬 Film yourself every day, it helps!!!
