Dacre's audition tape is amazing! He seems so into character right away. I love how he threw the hand movements in there and it really worked for the role. I think a lot of the time we don't think about how we could move on camera to make the role more interesting rather than just saying the lines. And, he said so much by just his eyes as well when saying the lines.

In Madeline’s performance, I really like it when she was keeping a sad face when she was talking about the bullies but when she aimed the conversation at the person she was talking to she kinda smiled and it showed how sad she was and it made her cry more. Zoe was the original name for miley, you’re correct. Miley cyrus’s birth name was Destiny but because she smiled a lot as a kid her family called her ‘smiley miley’. Because her real father, Billy Ray Cyrus, played her dad in the show he couldn’t stop calling her Miley instead of Zoe so the director’s changed Zoe’s name. ❤

Destiny Hope Cyrus was her birth name. During Hannah Montana her mom Tish Cyrus and her dad Billy Ray Cyrus changed it to Miley Ray Cyrus. They got Miley from her nickname smiley

I heard from an interview before that it took casting directors 2 years to find a perfect fit for a "Zoe" but they really liked the character for Miley but the name just wasn't fitting her and they kept looking for 2 years and Miley would always have a call back and then finally the just decided to go with Miley and use her real name instead. I could be wrong, I saw this interview a very long time ago, from what I remember from that interview it went something like that

I soooo wanna be an actress. Wanted to since I was like 5, but when I was 10 I started becoming obsessed with behind the scenes and on set videos on KZbin, mainly of Harry Potter, and wishing I was one of the actors. I recently started a new drama class and I really enjoy it! The people who work there have all had on screen experience, which is super cool. My mum agreed to let me sign up to “backstage” after I do a few more acting classes so I’m rlly excited! My mum has always supported me and once booked me an online audition on a zoom call for a BBC show! Sadly, I didn’t get it, but it was great to know she supports my dream!

Watching these makes me realize how badly I messed up the only self-tape I have ever done because I hardly done any research on how to film one and was given the role information 2 days ago (help from the CDs because I found it through their Insta and had no idea how to find it on Actors Access)
