Tip I have found out over the past year dealing with these. If you have a can of compressed air, turn it upside down and spray the stink bug. The instant cold shocks them and they collapse and can't move. Makes for easy disposal and no harmful residue.

We recently moved to a cabin in the mountains from a state that didn't have any major issues with these filthy things.. Unbeknownst to us, we had our windows & doors open to enjoy the fall weather, and ignorantly created a stink bug expressway right into our home. I've found them in our BED, pillowcases, clothes & don't even ask about the nightmarish hoardes in our curtains. Needless to say, these filthy, stinking bastards have terrorized me in my own home. We've managed to eliminate most of them inside but everyday there's hundreds more on our windows & doors trying to get in and insecticides haven't fazed them.. so definitely going to try this one out though because I'm desperate to eradicate these things. Does this onslaught continue ALL fall/winter or will we eventually see them move on at some point since we've sealed off possible access points? I despise these little demon bastards with a passion.. I'm convinced they had to be spawned straight from Satan's asscrack. 🤬

I bought this trap that omits a blue light with a silent fan that pulls them in when they get near…I’m thinking they’re just dumb and crawl in since they’re not light like a fly, but it seems to be working well. I found that traps at night that give off a blue light work best. In the fall they appear like clockwork and by winter (like literally mid December) they disappear like clockwork as well. They don't seem to harm anything, or roam much - in fact had I not approved my window idk how long it would've taken me to discover them. They are loud and unacceptable, I don't notice any smells when I crus them so I did, often. However I've moved to repair all my entry spots this year - all windows and doors repaired/replaced, and where that couldn't be done I'm using wintering tape. Wish me luck.

After a week I noticed the one by the tree had all the leaves eaten off. There was a similar plant, succulent type plant that died seemingly for no apparent reason. Now I know it was stink bugs. So....how do I get rid of them outside? I suspect they burrow at the base of the tree and climb up the tree to feed or lay eggs. I say this because I first noticed them when I watered the tree. They started climbing up the tree. Help!

It was a nightmare and worse yet I didn't know what they smelled like bc I was that used to it. So my ex husband and I went on vacation for a week(mind u I had 2 babies ages 1 &2) and when we came home, I was walking closer and closer up the walk way to the front door and I could smell this smell....omg it was them. All that time I had, and my children's had been breathing this grossness in. I remember I really wanted to take this flowered swag with me that I put over my back door. So I took it down, I said, I'm going to literally wash it and take it. I put it in the sink and was using the hose part to spray it off, I wasn't done, I took a break to lift it out of the sink to see if any bugs came off there were hundreds! I poured soap all over it and sprayed more. When I was done I counted 217 stinkbugs in the swag. I was mortified that's when I knew we weren't talking anything. We were so badly infested you could smell them from about 30 feet away from the house bc they were outside as well, I guess looking to get in. Oh man and it's Sept/Oct now and I'm seeing them inside this other home im in , all on the screens and all. I'll flick them off from inside(they are on the outside) and I'll look at the same screen 15 min later and there back..... I am not on this id looking how to get rid of them bc I'm going to the store today to get the spray or ingredients to make a spray! #help

The excessive spraying will not work at all. Any sort of bug spray is made to eliminate and prevent insects that groom and touch their mouth and face. Stink bugs, unlike many other insects like flies, do not groom their face and mouth after walking on any surface. While spraying around and in your house will eliminate and prevent all grooming insects, it will not even slow down the amount of stink bugs that get into your home.

@@Joe_334 They attract others only if they're alive. I regret letting those fuckers live I'll drown them the next time they dare to come near my home

The best way ever is empty pill bottles, and when you get good, water bottles. Just catch them. They have a habit of pulling in their legs and dropping as a defense, and you can take advantage of that. A dog with a high prey drive (free fun) or sticky traps for mice at the bottom corners of your windows can work for a lot, too, but those can get expensive. We've had them now for more than 10 years. Every day in the winter we catch more than 200. We have tried EVERYTHING. It's the only way. I know it sucks but we're all stuck with these things for life.

The more you or the dog crushes them the more will come. Their smell attracts more of them it’s like a party invite

Apparently these monsters are attracted to LED lights for some reason, especially when they’re on red or blue

So essentially remodel the exterior of your home so they don't regain entry. 🤦♂️

Fun fact the ones that bother you in your home are probably invasive so it's morally right to murder them in mass have fun 😊
