Hi, I have watched your video and i have submerged Milfoil weeds that have totally taken over the pond. Please tell me what I need to use to get rid of them. I have no fish in the water and the pond does not have any outside water entry source. The fountain does not seem to prevent the problem. Thanks Jodi

Hi Jodi, Thanks for watching the video! You can use Diquat Herbicide to get rid of your water milfoil: www.solutionsstores.com/diquat-dibromide-aquatic-herbicide. The amount you apply will depend on the surface area and depth of your pond, so be sure to refer to the product's label for the proper mix rates. We also recommend you use this product together with a pond dye: www.solutionsstores.com/vision-pond-dye. Once this product is evenly dispersed, it will block UV rays from travelling through the water, preventing algae and plant growth.

In addition to herbicides, sediment should be removed regularly. This can be done using a dirty water motor pump with a Bagermaster suction nozzle. First treat with herbicides, and then remove the remains of dead vegetation with a manual mini dredger

I’m so glad I found this video!! We live in the country where tee used to have three fish ponds, but now there r no fish and it’s not used for fishing, but the weeds are out in control in one of them. We still have ducks, water hens, heron etc. I’m going to take photos tomorrow and send them to this email address given, I really hope u guys can help us! It would be great to see our ponds again!!

I was told I have duck weed but internet search appears to be blanket weed. It’s like hair or stringy grass or weed. I’ve tried diquate and navigate granules. My surface aerator was a floating fountain with an upside down sealed motor with a propeller blade facing up. Now I’m trying to use a pool pump to pump water and let it fall down to aerate but having a difficult time keeping weed out of inlet suction. Going to try a cricket cage inside a sealed five gallon bucket with holes drilled in.

Many of the plants shown in this video are native species that carry out important functions necessary for maintaining lake health (nutrient removal, fish habitat, sediment stabilization). I wish there was a stronger statement emphasizing that treatment with chemicals should be considered very carefully, and that not all aquatic "weeds" are bad. The underwater forests present in waterbodies are doing many good things and should be appreciated.

Thanks Jeremy. That’s why I came here. I just moved into a private community with four small lakes. There is a decent fish population and I have been enjoying my time fishing there. I know the HOA uses a lake management company and they have been doing a good job of management with the weeds leaving the lily pads alone but keeping other weeds from choking out the shallow lakes. Unfortunately I went out today and everything was gone. No lily pads . Nothing. A very sad sight

Our community is surrounded by wetland with streams going down into ponds where salmons live. Are there any water safe weed killers that you would recommend? We got expensive quotes from landscapers who said they had to manually pull off the weeds instead of spraying weed killers because of the wetland.

thanks liked and subscribed every year the first week of time change I clean up around the pond about a 60 feet section today about 30 feet of it has the grass that grows under water... I go out in the water cut the grass to level with the water, but getting to old to do this and have Parkinson's, I do about 2 or 3 feet a afternoon and that is it. I cut a little and rest a little, Think that Floridone is what I need to get... the other 30 feet there is a tree that grows that has a lot of run off trees gwoing from it, I just been cutting it back as much as I can it is a pain in the butt

How much diquat per gallon of water are you mixing in sprayer for spot treating your pond? I have water Lilly's and water millfoil I would be spraying.

Diquat Dibromide Aquatic Herbicide can be used at a rate of 0.75 ounces per gallon of water for land applications. Please refer to the label for more specific application rates.

A large lake in my country suffers from water hyacinth weed which threatens to kill the lake by covering around 100square kilometers of its area and could you please explain in depth about this aquatic weed and what chemical solutions can help destroy this free floating and fast growing water hyacinth aquatic weed without harming the aquatic habitats?

Will if I treat pond with product will I be able pull water out of pond to irrigate watermelon Or will kill melons thanks

I can’t fish in my lake because too many weeds. I have tried a rake on the end of a rope but it’s too much hard work.

My wife step son and got foreclosed on about 6 months ago both lost their jobs due to shut down, He hated the HOA where they lived out, , He got some Duck Weed put it in the pond went back about a month ago and now the duck weed is everywhere in the pond

I got plants coming out of the filter which I believe that , that may be the reason why I'm losing so much water in my pond everyday I see my pond is low . Any recommendations?

Get a new pump and make a cage around it to stop plants being sucked up
