Random anecdotal data point: I decided to try out the guaranteed critical catch on Galarian Zapdos since I find the throw on it to feel very natural. 2 catches in 2 attempts, both critical catches. I hope to see more of them to test further.

Lucky catch maybe but not crit. I can tell. I got a shiny Zapdos yesterday, took me 45 min to catch him and over 250+ balls. Used all my berries and all my balls even had to buy more. I landed over 100 excellent "crit" catch not just excellent and they never went in. Got it in the end i wasn't even happy i was sad and depressed no joke. Now i'm scarred to see another one. (FOR SURE 100% crit catch dosnt work on shiny, a lucky catch yeah maybe.)

Yea i have noticed that too. The g zapdos always spawns in the same exact corner by the same gym everytime i encounter it. Thats how i got my shiny g zapos the first night

Had 3 encounters yesterday! Caught 2 Zapdos, used my master ball on the first and realized I should have saved that for a hundo, but oh well. Had an encounter with moltres but it fled. This was walking through the main park in our city of ~70k ppl. Hit main spots other people are setting lures at.

They do spawn in certain areas IME, however it is of limited duration. I had G bird encounters every couple of days in 2 specific areas for about 3 or 4 months, then they suddenly stopped appearing (not had a single encounter in either area for almost 2 years). I started getting encounters in a certain area about 30mins away & those lasted for a few weeks, before they stopped. I've not found a new spot since then & only seen 2 G birds in the last 14months despite near daily windy weather boost (live coastal) & having all relevant medals at platinum.

At the end of the day, it’s complete RNG when it comes to the Galarian Birds. You can have all the requirements met, make use of Golden Razz berries & only use ultra balls & still not get a bird spawning (let alone it being shiny). This is why I wish that these legendaries would be released to t5 raids (hell even elite raids would be good if these were the featured legendaries)

4:10 I got a Critical Catch on Legendaries, I had one on the Zacian Raid Boss and I was surprised that it happened because I believed Crit Catches were impossible for Legendaries. Tho I think you are right where it’s a 1% change of happening

found galarian moltres twice in the same spot. First time got a critical catch on my first throw 🤩, the second time it fled 😢

I've encountered 2 molt and arc in the same park one week apart popping daily incense on windy days.

A quick warning about using Roar of Time: I noticed after using it for my daily incense, any Pokémon that was spawned by incense before it was initiated disappears from the map. I had the worst luck when using it because when the animation of Dialga finished I saw Galarian Moltres show up for a spit second on my map before vanishing. I tested it again on a common spawn and it did it again consistently. Just a heads up. I think what happens is when you use incense it starts an 'instance' of that item. When ROT is used, it ends that initial 'instance' and starts a new one to add the new amount of time allocated to it. When the old 'instance' ends, so do the spawns and the new 'instance' starts by producing new spawns.

Anecdotal: I ran into Articuno 3 times this week in the same EXACT spot while walking the same route with my DAI on. I was skeptical at first, but it might be true

If you use your daily incense on a route that is NEW to you, you get spawns more frequently than 30 seconds. It is 15-20 seconds each. This is a way to get more spawns ... just be sure NOT to complete the route or you will have to find another new one the next day.

There's one road near my house that I got 4 bird encounters before there's masterballs. The 4th time I had a masterball and was able to catch a bird. There's definitely some truth about them spawning near the same location. Havnt tried hunting them this time round yet

If I'm running the incense just for the birds, do I have to catch the non-bird incense Pokemon? I find it annoying to catch the incense Pokemon because quick catch acts differently than them, but I'm worried that may reduce spawn frequency?

You don't need to catch the other Pokemon if you don't want too, it won't reduce spawn frequency

I just want to confirm that my friend encountered g.zapdos and g.articuno back to back when i was shiwing them a spot that ive encountered g. Birds before and last night while driving i missed moltres.same spawn location i was driving hiwever and when driving all soawns disaoear after.ine missed catch let alone g. Birds but yea i can verify as some have noticed there are spots where bigger pokemon ex. My first and second Charizard as well as first Dragonite and my second encounter.with g. Zapdos all happened in an area of maybe 50yards bye 50yards idk if spot shifts or not but ive noticed a fearow appear after theyve fled instead and a fearow.somtimes when they dont show at all.

Given that you have a chance to encounter these every day, and they have the standard 1 in 20 shiny odds, there exists a future where these are the most common shiny legendaries to have.

Unless they are added to raids or otherwise boosted, no there isn't. They will remain rarer than any other shiny legendary because the sheer number of raids that are completed when a pokemon is in rotation vastly outnumbers the amount of galar birds players will encounter.
