Lowering your prices would make everyone buy a Polaroid, I get that the process is pricey, but €20 for 8 pictures is very expensive. Just my opinion. I love the format (square).

I'm happily enjoying my grandma's Lightfocus AF 600, and have shot 3 packs now, took a while to get used to all the different factors, but a joy to use/experience nonetheless. I understand the costs, and yes if made in Europe it probably costs a pretty penny. Cheers! Keep making film ;)

Loving manual work? Polaroid Originals is very-very good in something. In the marketing. Producing very low quality, film, what will fading if it gets light. 15 minitues developing time?! That's ridiculous. And 8 film/pack? ,,Can't fit more because they are thicker than the original Polaroid films." Oh, boo-hoo! You know you can put more pictures in a cartridge. ,,But if we put 10 film a pack, it will be more expensive." Now, every fifth pack, the customer have to buy a lot of garbage. One box, one user manual, one battery, one plastic cartridge, one darkslide and one metal spring. And who this good for? Ofcurse! For the company… In 2015 I bought the first pack of Impossible film. I was very excited, but the magic was lost… I have to shield the picture at the most interesting part, at the developing… I bought tons of film. I took the last pictures from my grandmother with SX-70 film. A cartridge had some foil parts in them, what ruined 4 pictures, and the customer service offered me 2€... I put the picture to a dark place to several months. After I put them on to my wall. After weeks they started to fading and my most valuable family pictures turned to pink... That was the point when I stop using ,,Polaroid" film...

Polaroid Originals so the reason why polaroid film cost so much is because you guys are doing a lot of the film manually because Machine production would ruin the quality of the film.

@@PolaroidOriginals I'll probably jump into this when I get a chance. I tossed my old polaroid when the film quit being made, but would love the prices to drop to the $9-15 price range for a cart of film. Still not bad.

I think you guys are making great progress. I just hope in the near future that your film quality gets better. Like not be so sensitive to heat, because when I bring my camera to the beach or the park most of my photos come out looking like it has a old western filter on them. (I do keep them out of the heat/sun once they come out) Also I don’t know if target just does not take good care of the film or what, but half of the packs I get from them will have a white streak on the center left or right hand side of the film. :( I am constantly cleaning my rollers so I don’t think it’s that. I only mention these problems because I love what you guys are doing and I want you guys to succeed. I use a one step Close up 600, but probably will pick up the new one step + sometime in the future.

Everyone is still complaining about the price of the film yet the price came down. I will admit I don't understand why the I-Type film can't have 10 shots since the pack doesn't contain a battery.

Also my onestep2 jams like a motherfucker at least once every other film pack. I've figured out how to fix it so I don't lose the entire pack but for like, 2$ or so per exposure... It's honestly really annoying bc that's literally like, money wasted. I know there's no such thing as perfect, but my instax mini never jammed ONCE and I took like, hundreds of shots with it over a year. Come on. You guys are Polaroid. You made the game. Win it.
@vimerveilles6 жыл бұрын
Ngl,this is unfair to everyone who bought the onestep2, bc now I need yet another instant camera and it's like.... if you could have made all these features work on a release model...why not do it outright? I know there's ROUGH competition with the lomo'instant crowd, but like, y'all have the best sized photos so it would have been better from the start just to put out a camera on their level to begin with.

You could also say - "Please don't come out with new products cause it'll make the old ones seem obsolete..."
@vimerveilles6 жыл бұрын
But for real unless You step up the consistency vs. Price ratio... you are going out of business the second fujifilm makes a big sized instant film. (Instaxwide just isn't a pleasing aspect ratio) y'all are toast. Please step it up. I gave family Polaroids from the 1980s and I want to have Polaroids in 3080 too.
@-wack6 жыл бұрын
Vi Merveilles they can’t. Polaroid already threaten them with a lawsuit against them over the Square Bar film, so if Fujifilm does that, Polaroid will sue them lol
@jerk46286 жыл бұрын
Instaxwide not a pleasing aspect ratio? It's really close to a 2x3 aspect ratio... which is the aspect ratio of 35mm... (no longer the standard with iPhones/Instagram but it was the standard for years).

To all crybabys in the comment field who whines about consistency, why don't you buy a digital cam or boring instax? I love the unpredictability of the polaroid film and I actually get really worried when I read that they "constantly tweak the chemistry to get better quality", if "better" means more predictable and consistent.
@loading123420002 жыл бұрын
You would not understand. Back in the days Time Zero film was used by artists. It was an impressive film, consistent, sturdy with gorgeous colors. Nowadays it's frustrating to see how "Polaroid" is investing in new frames and new plastic cameras instead of investing in developing a film similar to Time Zero. Don't judge if you don't understand.

The problem I have with this video is they way the guy talks. We shouldnt be letting the kids grow up hearing this and thinking this is how you talk. I mean at the very end of the video the narrator says "now you're ready to take pics witcher onestep plus" it's like saying "I wanna take a pic witchu" its "with you"... "with your one step plus". I'm still gonna buy it lol just my opinion.
