By far their best. Its the only album they did where I like every song on an album. The use of synthesizers was done perfectly and the melodies to songwriting to the whole epic feel is just incredible. Its actually my personal favorite album of all time. There is no album I listen to more then somewhere in time. These guys were on point as a band with this album. Epic shit lol

I love this tutorial Euge! Somewhere In Time is my favorite Iron Maiden album without a shadow of a doubt! The tone is also one of my absolute favorites! So thank you for this! It's a shame they stopped making the Gallien Kruger 250ML and 250RL's though.. When I'm able to recreate this tone I'll grab a Marshall JCM800 2203 and a Marshall 1960B 4x12 Cabinet (Same cabinet Adrian Smith uses).. As for effect pedals I'll use the Boss Super Overdrive SD-1 and the Boss Chorus Ensemble CE-5 along with a Boss RV-6 Reverb.. But I want your opinion on a couple of things.. What do you suggest I use for the Micropitch sound since I prefer using effect pedals? Would a Boss PS6 Harmonist do the job? And last but not least.. Do you recommend using either a Boss DD-3 or Boss DD-7 Digital Delay for the sound as mentioned? Cheers Euge!
@EugeValovirta230V3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Glad to hear that man! You have a pretty cool rig I must say 😎👌. I’m not 100% sure about the BOSS Micropitch but I think it should do the job. The new Micropitch pedal from Eventide will surely do it: www.eventideaudio.com/products/stompboxes/pitch-delay-pedal/micropitch-delay I have both DD-3 & DD-7 and they both sound the same to me but DD-7 has just more different delays. I use the basic digital delay - mode always anyways on both so they both work 👌.
