Thanks for this!! Funny intro 😂 I owned the first 4 sirui FF. Sold them. Focus throw was lean and synchro focus design on all but the 35mm. The great joys are incredible. The 50 needs a mark II removing the Synchro focus, but the 35 and 85 are lovely. The 35 great joy struggles for bokeh at 2.9- but if you are outside with long vistas the bokeh in the 35 is so sweet at 2.9. The no flare on the 35 is pretty cool- it may be ahead of its time. Any interest in the mercuries?

Great video and channel, if you must choose between the sirui 1.33 (35mm for example) on a mft sensor or an aps-c (or full frame crop to aps-c) you think the difference is significant for anamorphic video?

I think on the smaller sensors you’re losing a lot of what makes the original anamorphic look which is the extra screen real estate on the sides of the frame. You lose too much.

That blackmagic filmed all the talking head pieces and B-roll of lenses! But actually Sirui do not do an EF mount Anamorphic otherwise I would have definitely thought about getting that version.

Technically the hair on my forearms are not anamorphic as that section was shot on a regular lens. 😂👌

No way to get 'real' anamorphic look except by x2 anamorphics... the best in budget friendly is Kowa shorts (16H, 8z, B&H etc.) on 4:3 sensor crop... all sirui etc are such a crap (sorry ;-) no offense in my opinion)... if you get money get Laowa Proteus, Orion Atlas and so on ;-)
