What I hate about gear scores is the amount of time and effort it requires to max out and then they move the bar... again, and again, and again, until you have a whole lot of useless stuff in the game. There needs to be a new system for MMO's, and sometimes they do create a new system and create even more useless stuff. Look at Lotro where you had to have specific stuff for specific raids and now no one does those things anymore. I feel Fat-Thor's pain.

From the hole game loop perspective it is not devalued. You still need to farm gear in Expeditions and so on to get to 700 and then get from there to 725. In the end all new players will have a decent grind in front of them, except the actual players, that tend to go where you already mentioned.

i personally think that certain open world bosses should have at minimum a lower chance of dropping certain named items. all the way up to 725 with varying perk number (common up to legendary) and the chance increases with open world boss level. so a level 50 boss will have a very low chance, but still a chance and a 65 or 70 a higher chance. chance scales with level of boss. the important thing is that it is fun and engaging to travel to different areas and environments around the map to farm bosses for certain named items. and there are no gates. what's important is that we have OPTIONS. travel to the land of rain and farm the willow tree for an item. travel to the ice mountains and defeat an arctic wolf for an ice guantlet. the open world aspect works great 1-60 even to 65 so keep those regions relevant. i would go as far to say even allow the drops for players under 60. so if they were really lucky they might even have a chance at something to use in the future

I think for people complaining about the fact you need to do raids/pvp to get the high gear are wrong. I played destiny one like crazy and i know the games are different in respect but the mechanics are somewhat similar and if not better in NW. You could only go so far in destiny with gear and doing raids/pvp was the only way to obtain better gear and that was if you were lucky enough to get it to drop. It can be both, you can avoid PvP, but if you want certain artifacts, then you have to do PvP. With this update (going by information on this video) if you cannot find people to do the raid, the only way to get gear and upgrade other items would be the PvP zone. So, if you want to avoid PvP in totality, you may be disappointed.

Yeap Unfortunatly the endgame appeals to the most tryhardy / hardcore PVP fans or the Coordinated Group players. While they say the PVP zone will be Free for All, guarenteerd there will be Gank Squads and Griefing goin on. Solo players & Casual players and everything in between better kiss goodbye to the endgame whenever they reach max level...😥😢 I'm definetly not sticking around whenever i'm done with the Main Story, Max level, Crafting and such... a shame... The Devs better come up with other ways to get it or they'll lose like over 4/5th of their playerbase within a week.

Not happy. My only option is constantly raiding. I don't PVP. So the best AGS could do was make it insanely expensive to get people to stay in the game to grind. No casual Or PVE players welcome. I was so burned out running the winter rune 4-5 times a week for 14 weeks, shotcalling, tanking, teaching....

I’m coming back to play because I love new world it has so much potential, I’ll probably go for a little swim get my stuff to 725 then disappear again sadly
