Every video I've seen says increased storage or reduced housing taxes is the best... The others are generally wasted as you can't reset them once you max out your levels or standing

From my experience, the priority rewards are Storage, Reduced taxes, and Potentially gathering speed. I'd recommend having one town/city where you focus all your tax reductions on, so that you can have that one town to do all your trading in. Perhaps gathering speed rewards can be given in a town/area that you like to do a lot of farming in? Other than that, storage is always needed.

Ignore xp, always take storage. Then it's kinda up to you. Some people pick a town for crafting and a town for using the trading post.

I cant seem to buy any houses. I know that you can buy a tier 1 house at territory standing level 1 but I couldnt. So I am now for example level 15 territory standing so I can purchase a tier 2 house with the discount of your first buy. Again this isnt working and am left with the message 'you dont have house ownership bonus in this territory to purchase a house'. Is this bugged or am I being stupid?

Im patiently waiting for a video with the crafting changes. Now jewels are refined in the outfitting station? You can't craft rare materials? (Example: cinnabar/smoulderhide) I really liked that gimmick since you could use extra materials fast and remove some weight in a few clicks

All furniture gets moved to storage, then you just place them in the new house again and tada everything is like it was

I only played at the start in 2021. Did they fix the taxes and makong gold issue? Cause back then at level 60 you had a lot of money through the main story quests. But basically everybody went broke, bc there was no way of making money. Every resource tanked in value, bc after everybody had spent their money, no new money was put into the economy. And then the houses ate you up with all the taxes, even when playing 20+hours per week. So now i restarted, but i am quite scared to buy anything but a tier 1 house 😅

A lot of the items I received for housing came from just normal quests or just following the story. My story missions are lvl 16 and I'm lvl 30 so you don't have to get far in the story to get your hands on a slew of things for your house

No, you get a 5k first time purchase discount. It makes a t1 house free. You never get the first time purchase discount again. So that is it for your free house.

When you acces a shed in a settlement, there is a drop down bar that let you pick the shed from another settlement. You can take and put items in that.

no. abandon house will just return 50% of what you paid. If the house was 10k, and you used the discount then you paid 5k. When its time to abandon, you get back 50% of the 5k = 2500.

I'm loving the game and I don't like mmo games (just too much to learn amd its overwelming). I'm only lvl 26 but it's been amazing. The crafting system, graphics, story, and easy learning curve makes this my favorite mmo. I've never got bored even after playing for 5 hours straight. If you love crafting and resource gathering and everything else I highly recommend new world aeternum.
