The ships good but if you grind a little and complete the FreeStar Rangers quest like line you’ll get a Class A ship that completely outclasses this one for free. The Star-Eagle ship is a beast with over 2000 cargo, 5 crew slots, and 900 shield. You don’t even need to level up piloting to fly it so it’s definitely worth the work

It is also good to wait till around level 13-15 as most of the npcs are in the 30's range. It can be quite a challenge if you attempt it too low. Definitely bring lots of ammo and med packs.

@@x_bot117 It's never too late to get it. If you haven't properly started the quest and still have the "Secret outpost" slate in your inventory, just read the slate to trigger the map pin. It doesn't show up as a proper quest until you do that.

I just progressed as a vanguard because I chose to be soldier and kinda got the ship. Enjoying the dialogues. I think it's best not to skip them because u can really get an idea about all options

The armor is somewhat OP for how early in the game you can get it. But then armor isn't all that effective in this game anyway. I kept it for most of my playthrough just because mine came with the legendary perk that makes all weapons only count for 50% of their actual weight. The ship, while a decent improvement over the starter ship isn't really all that great. If you're after a good ship you're better off completing the rangers questline which gifts you the Star Eagle upon completion which as far as I'm aware is far and away the best pre-built class A ship in the game. Right out of the box with no modifications it's got room for 5 crew, something like 2700 cargo capacity, 29ly jump capability, and it absolutely tears through ships like butter in space combat.

@@darkvader0248 I think it’s only an hour in, you’re on the first galactic space station created by man and it’s full of enemies. Make sure you loot the bodies and snag all the outpost messages

@@darkvader0248 you also don’t need to worry about fuel, when you get the mission, devs were worried it would ruin game play, you just have to jump from 3-4 planets to get to the one with the ship. Let your companion do most the work. It’s really high level. Give her get an electric weapon, the one that does the most damage, and let her do the most. The only thing i had to do was the turret before the final 4 bosses. Wasn’t hard once I got some op guns tho. Just take it slow because med kits are limited

If u have the 3rd Lvl in Security (Master Lockpicking) u can deactivate the turrets 😊

Try to shoot the turrets between the very small gaps on right side before the stairs, worked for me at level 6. Of course I lost some medkit but quick save the game often!

I did this at level 5 1st thing the spelling you need is tyrannis. 2nd of all there are cot beds EVERYWHERE. sleeping on one for just 1 hour will give you full health I found 5.

Got the mission to go to the graveyard, cleared out 100% of the spacers and the other enemies, looted every body. Went through the entire port at least 3 times, not a single note for a secret base

Sooo the secret hideout note comes randomly from spacer enemies so it can drop from any of them so not everyone will get it at the same location just look for more spacers

I went as a level 8 and was able to breeze through. Just save often and use energy weapons for the robots. Play it safe and don't be afraid to use a lot of medpacks

Also little tip, theres one enemy in the mantis that has 3 red bars that will try to escape whhen he is low on health, I chased him down and killed him and he dropped a purple shotgun(handloading refined pacifier) way better tan the coachman (double barrel). Im not sure if its a guaranteed drop for everyone but worth a try.

It’s not. Loot drops by these mini bosses are random. U can also save before killing them then quickly reload if you don’t like the loot. After 10 reloads you should be getting epic items

best way to do this at a low level is to just lower the difficulty to very easy and put it back to however you want it after the mission

FYI you don’t even need to figure out the puzzle. There is a command console right around the corner from the hallway entrance. You can deactivate the turrets or change the friend/foe setting to protect you.

Naw do the Freestar Collective quests, they're easy for the most part just get a good gun and at the end you get the Star Eagle which is one of the best A class vessels in the game. Some of the quests are a breeze specially if you have an OK early game jump pack like in the Red Mile.
