Great video !! I have a question which somehow colorist always do it differently.. When would you put effects like glow and grain before/after the rec709 LUT ? I think Cullen Kelly once said that effects are used before the transform.. could you maybe explain why to choose one or the other?

It‘s technically more „correct“ to do it before. I try both most of the time and just see what happens. Sometimes, Im more pleased when I put it after!

It is a good pastel light look, but it is not 100% Midsommar more lik 70-80%. It has too much contrast, the darks are still too rich. And the colors pop in a different softer way in the movie. 3:02 is the most saturated part of the movie and if u indirectly compare it to 13:10 it is a strong difference. I guess you have to physically have the gear to recreate it fully.
