Hey buddy, I love my Thermoking APU It’s really powerful. I use my big dorm fridge, microwave, instant pot, coffee maker, TV. And run the AC on full blast . And don’t have to worry about all that you just mentioned.

I had a thermo king and it was a nightmare. It was broken more than my truck. Truck was great. APU was horrible. I bought my own truck and used a generator now have an electric apu and use both a generator and epu and 0 problems.

Also I would like to add. Some of the EPU manufacturers say to leave it at 70 or greater also. Slamming it all the way down uses more juice. That is obvious but guys complain about 6 hours of use and done. It should last 10 hours with proper use and good batteries

If you have an electric power unit on your truck it is not called an APU. It is called, EPU.

my 2025 cascadia epu sucks. it'll stay cool till about 4 or 5 hours then it'll warm up inside n stop cooling. my 2014 cascadia with it's parksmart that thing would stay cool all night . really not liking the changes on the 2025 truck

I would check the batteries or upgrade them. The EPUs have not changed for the worse.

@@jd426 the batteries are fine. The way this 2025 model is programed is to work with truck optimized idle set to comfort mode. Then the parksmart works. Which is bs. I shouldn't have to have the truck idling every couple hours to cool cab. My old 2014 was never like that.

My epu in my kw t680 just doesn’t even stay on longer than 30 mins if u use my microwave or plug in my ps5 my inverter just shuts off
