@@quintessentialgirly Yeah, they're quite intimidating early in the game......Later, they were more of a minor nuisance at times, like the one near the shrine where you have to hit the sphere into the hole in the Akkala Region......He wouldn't leave me alone, even though I was content to leave him be, so I went and took him out! Most of the time, it became more of me going " 'Sup?" as I dashed past them, and them finally registering what just happened and roaring angrily behind me in the distance......

I just got game few days ago and I cleared first rift went immediately for this echo. An beat him with having 5 hearts An one hit you dead with potion or not. Was hard but used a method that worked great

You can easily slay him without the defense buff. Just have a Crawltula with you, target him with ZL, move backwards and spam the Crawltula. Got him on my 2nd try ^^

I've been surprised at how strong the crawltulas are. I was using them strictly for exploration, but a couple "accidentally" took out some enemies really quick. Now I've been using them for combat, as well.

It's very easily missable, because it requires moving Zelda onto those event trigger boxes in order for it to spawn. It's just as strong as the Dark Lynel (Null's dark echo variant) fought inside Null's Body.

I accidentally stumbled into the Eternal Forest and managed to get the Lynel and the level 2 and 3 Moblins just after finishing the starter dungeon (I was rather blindly wandeirng around). I followed the hoof prints thinking it might be the missing horse from the ranch. I think I just kept aiming my spinny flying plant thing at him. Can't even use anything above 4 try marks yet haha

Yeah, they just need like about 10 hits. Just get a level 2 Boarblin between you and it. Best to use the narrow pathways to block it so it can't go right for you.

I jumped around trees dropping fire octoroks til I fell out of the trees and didn’t have time to make a trampoline, and just ran around letting the fire octoroks do their thing. I was so intent on the battle that I didn’t notice at first that there were two octoroks standing next to a itty bitty Lynel and a rupee. Whew! I’m so glad I got this done 💪

Did the Lynel with 4 hearts before the two introduction rifts, no smoothees, and only using a green shield/sword green bokoblin that I got in the forest. I wasn't as prepared. I just unleashed the bokoblin, z targeted the Lynel and circled around the outskirts sending out a new one each time he was about to die. The Lynel never even tried to hit me. Zero damage and surprisingly quick to go down... 🤔😎 Thanks for the video!

I'll share my experience in catching the Lynel. Starting with the Level 3 Moblin. Caught that by spamming Beetle Nests. Some game time later, I go after the Lynel. While my Level 3 Moblin always got a single hit in, it got one-shot in turn every time I sent it into battle. And I was jumping and spinning my way around the tree tops as I realized the Lynel could climb pretty high. Never considered using Swordfighter form. But ultimately got the Lynel 😅

A way to cheese single enemy fights is send out your echos and then use bind to hold the enemy in one spot

Bind the enemy from behind, and just spam-summon any powerful echo you have that attacks immediately, like a higher level lizalfos or sword moblin. As soon as you summon, it will attack, and then you resummon, which will disappear that echo and resummon a new one, who will also immediately attack. Repeat as necessary.

It does fail tho it’s completely obsolete. All it takes is a level 2 sword or club moblin only have to spawn 5-6 and just stand there

There’s this cheese I found for the Lv3 Moblin. If you spawn an Ignozol and throw it to the side you can circle around when the Moblin’s aggroed on it. From there you can keep spawning and throwing Ignizols over the Moblin’s head whenever it attacks to light it on fire and keep it facing away from you.

Surprisingly, I managed to get the Lynel Echo in just one try. Using the Sword Moblin Level 2, I lured the Lynel to chase me toward two trees near the warp point in the center of the Eternal Forest. While I circled around the trees, the Sword Moblin kept attacking the Lynel and dealing damage. This was done without any buff of sorts.

Actually he's super easy to beat early game: I did beat him in a total epic and long battle. I... I did totally not run away crying with the Lynel chasing me outside the woods and then jumping in the river, drowning pityfully.

Get lvl 2 sword moblins and hide behind them. When one dies, spawn another BETWEEN you and the Lynel. Simple!

You can just use ribbitune echoes to lead the lynel to a body of water & then get in the water so it charges at you & drowns.

I actually did this fight pretty easily using 2 wolfos, 1 at a time. The wolfos were too fast for it to hit most of the time (it cornered the first one) and the wolfos circle too far away for its spin slash to hit, the wolfos can take like 3 hits before dying. I only got hit one time with no defense up😮‍💨

The best echo in my opinion before the Lynel is the lv 3 Darknut because it just spins, not forever, but it's good enough. I recommend fighting the Lynel after you can use the Darknut lv 3 echo.

Thank you for telling me where they were! Lol I legit couldn’t find them 😂 Also, I suggest you finish the first main story quest cause you’ll end up in the Hyrule Dungeon and get the Ball and Chain Trooper… legit AMAZING echo and it eventually gets its cost reduced 😊😊

Hi Austin, Wanted to tell you the ball & chain trooper is way better to take down the lynel - I tried with your cool take down about 100x. I finally kept coming back as I got new echoes I felt might do the trick - Ball and chain did it - no running around litterally had to spawn it about 4 times and the lynel was dead. Just did a distance throw in (My tri is only 4 triangles and have cleared the castle rift and done the rift to get Epona)

@1:30 For those who enjoy Link form, the salted tough smoothie (salt & peach) will give you meter refill +damage reduction. Given beds and fairies heal, this smoothie is a life saver.

I found Sword and Spear Moblins lv2 around Jabul Waters, the sword one I think was in the area with the napping kid in the forest north of Seesyde village, and the Spear one was tucked in a nearby grove I had to reach by going over the trees, if that helps y'all. I've been calling the Sword Moblin l2 "Linktoo" because of how good at fighting he is uwu

Um, you can bind the shield he carries and pull it off his hands. The Shield on the wall in Suthorn Ruins is supposed to be a hint for this (and a setup for doing it to Link shortly after), but because it immediately opens a door instead you might think it was just a switch for the door, and not a hint about shield-bearing enemies.

If you don't have the stuff that Austin does but you do for whatever reason I have like fish bombs go ahead and run if you can and time it right to throw it at them or leave it behind right when he charges at you and then let it blow a bottom it does so much damage it'll kill him really quick

I found an early way to get him on release date and didn’t bother because I heard you need level 9 tri for it. I am currently at level 8 tri and decided to to get it for after the next dungeon I do. All it took was spamming some lvl 3 sword moblins and I got it in under a minute. Don’t bother doing this early on, wait till you can actually use a level 3 unit. It makes it so much easier.

I just hid at the top of the trees, spawned a beetle mound and octorock in front of me and was sure to keep the lionel out of sight. First try, I was shoked to see how fast the lynel went down, didnt even agro once. I dont think the beetles even died, nor did the octorok. Easy battle, I was a little dissapointed, I expected my first try to not work out and then I would have to refine the strategy further, but no, it was quite easy. Those beetles were savage!

After my initial attempt at using the rolling pin on him (took out the lvl 3 Moblin effortlessly) the Lynel walked right through it and killed me. Second try, I just spawned one Lvl2 shield moblin and started whacking him with the sword. Only took two normal smoothies and he was out of there quick. I honestly expected to either die constantly or be using up all my drinks

Each time you use your echo they immediately attack. You can get faster attacks in by respawning your echoes after every swing instead of relying on auto battling. Also very effective against bosses. Took me less than a minute and one hit to zelda to finish him doing so. Unfortunately he's too expensive to use at the moment for me.

honestly the lynel was kinda easy as the ball and chain trooper killed without dying, but that happened because the ball and chain trooper got a head start which made his attacks faster and eventually after 2 minutes the lynel died

Only you will know if you will enjoy something or not. It's "new" in the sense you play as Zelda instead of Link, and the main gimmick is almost more akin to monster catching than anything else. If you liked previous Zelda games, and if you've played Pokemon, there is a little bit of both here.

Actually, I beat this with a couple beds to get treetop, and a pathblade. Didn't need any potions, just stood atop the trees, when the lynel ran in a little hallway of trees, and started throwing pathblades. Interestingly enough the lynel will kill one, and then pause just long enough between defeating pathblades for me to jump and throw another. He died in 2 minutes

I wish they would have mentioned it somewhere in the game. I didn't even notice the hoof prints in the mud, so having some npc mention how they followed them and found a monster would have been so much better. It is so annoying having to look this up.

I spammed ghosts and bats, got him to that open spot southwest with the armadillo pit and kept yeeting ghosts in there until he decided he wanted off Mr Bones' Wild Ride and camped on top of the trees with mejust out of his range. For a good while he wasn't even aggro, until the ghosts violated his personal space. But he wasn't actively looking for me, only those spooks for revenge. Didn't even need to become blue.

Sooo I defeated the Lynel kinda easily 😅 what happened was is that early on in my gameplay I did a lot of exploring before the main quest, and I had a “Darknut lvl 3” in my arsenal. I spammed him maybe 3 times max, and boom… I had the Lynel, no damage, no hearts lost and no need to go into sword mode lol

You can use bind to remove a shield.

Easiest way to kill him: Just use the sword moblin (the one you fight in the forest). The moblin will block his first hit then get one hit on him. It only took like 4 or 5 of them to kill him. I did it the first try. Just stabd back so his slash doesn't hit you

some enemy can be snipped their shield away with your beloved bind and they become significantly easier to defeat.
