Wow Jesse! Thank You! I know just be genuinely cool. Easy Breezy. So I implemented the Five minute technique and I started Straight Away after your message. I didn’t wait for tomorrow or later. I fired it up. And every day since then. I have composed some awesome stuff! And I go way over 5. Now I am working on the bounce thing. Yes this is one of my things I have to get through once and for all. Love It Jesse👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤙🤙

I asked what they wanted any got sent back a message with previous briefs 😂 … Guess I should submit to some of thoes briefs as if they were still active 🤷🏽♂️

I agree, except with the one point, where you should submit to every thing they offer - I don't submit for types of work I don't do; i.e. if most of my work is tension or dramedy, I won't submit to an irish folk album brief (except it's something that really seems fun and I have time to do it), as I'm not good at that genre

Certainly, if you really don't feel like you can deliver what they're asking it's best to say that and still thank them for the offer 👍

Thanks Jesse. Very helpful. When you left that company who were sort of cold shouldering you, and you joined that guys new company, did you take your tracks with you. Doesn't seem worthwhile leaving them with a company who isn't making you any money.
@SyncMyMusic11 ай бұрын
Nope, I had signed those tracks away "in perpetuity" so they had to sit with the dormant company. All good, just part of the business. I still received new placements through their publishers.

As far as a library shutting its doors. Say I submit 10 tracks and 6 months later they tank. What then happens to those tracks and your contract?
@SyncMyMusic11 ай бұрын
It depends. If they got bought out by another Library your tracks are going to get distributed by the new owner. If they're just shutting down without a sale to a new owner, you can certainly inform them that you'll be taking your tracks back.

@@SyncMyMusic in that case can you send the returned tracks to a new library? Used or not?
@SyncMyMusic11 ай бұрын
Yep, they would be free and clear at that point. @@MirrorMusicXero
