Hello Ashika. I'm a British citizen and I married my Tanzanian fiancee in Tanzania in April. We live in Tanzania together, but would like to visit UK for a month or 2. I have tried to complete 2 visa application forms now. I think the first one was a spousal visa. At the end I'm advised that the site will be redirected to a company whom I would have to pay $2000+ for health surcharge fee, so I realised this was the wrong form. Next I think it was a visitor's visa I filled in. Half way through I'm asked for the wedding date so I enter 23/04/2022. Then I'm asked for the venue address and told it has to be a UK address, so again I realise this is also the wrong form, because we already married in Tanzania. Neither of us works, but I have the sufficient cash savings required to be her sponsor. She has about £5000 in her account in TZ too. Please can you advise us how to proceed? Regards, Ricci

The family Visa seems very difficult as it requires me to make my money within the UK for at least 6 months before applying for my family Visa, but I make my money within the USA currently. Dependants are usually considered only spouse / partner or children. Unless in the case of exceptional cases, siblings aren't eligible.

Hi, I am planning to get a student visa to study for my masters degree in the UK. I’m from the US and was wondering if I am able to go with my boyfriend? We don’t live together so we don’t have any paperwork that says we both live under the same address or joint accounts. Are there any other ways to support proof that he is my boyfriend? Hi Vanessa, the guidance mentions that you need proof which I’m assuming you don’t have because you don’t live together. ( bank statements, council tax, or utility bills • residential mortgage statements or tenancy agreements • official correspondence or documents that link the Student and their partner and show they are living at the same address) That being said do you have any proof??

Hi Arif, which govt? If she has a skilled worker visa or an ICT, she can apply for a visa for dependants.
