Sure, here is a link to the Vivitar wide angle lens for RX100 on eBay: rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F401574806921 You'll need the Sony lens adapter for the lens to work, just search eBay or Amazon for the Sony VFA-49R1 lens adapter, you should be able to find it. Sorry for lack of solid links to these items but they can be hard to find nowadays.

Thank you for this content, may you tell me if there is some vignetting on the wides part of the wide angle leaving attached the adaptor ring by sony 49mm and without putting on top the wivitar? I as you this because i would like to protect the thin plastic cover of the lens adding on top a un removed uv filter, in the last 12 years i had 2 compact canon and on both of them the thin plastic closing device got broken just because of putting them daily in my pocket i guess so i need a fixed transparent lens to be left there before putting them in my pockets so the device will be working correctly more than 5-6 months. No unfortunately not, the RX100 Mk 3 doesn't have external mic connections

I basically just set everything to auto and shoot video, I dont use manual settings mainly because the camera already does an awesome job on it's own.

Yeah this solution isn't the prettiest, if you can do wide-angle with a phone instead go for it, although the RX 100 is a very good camera so I think for some it's worth getting the adapter for wide angle.

I made this video in June 2018, and at the time this DID work for every model, but I have no idea if it works with Mark 6 or 7.

@@Lukas75 IT does not fit - the lens has changed on MK 6 and up. Sony does not make an adapter anymore (that I can find)

I don't think the whole thing is worth the hassle and money spent. Besides, as someone said below, due to the weight of the adapter plus the additional lens, it may damage the camera's original optics.

100% don't do this, it will permanently damage the optical alignment of your lens barrel. I used to be a lens tech, this guy clearly is not.
