Thanks for your comment. Just trying to make it work with a very independent toddler! :)
So glad I came across your video. My wife and I are struggling to get our 3 yr old daughter into the carseat. Wants to sit in the drivers seat 😱 Been very difficult , as she just will not go into her carseat. Thought it was because she felt uncomfortable. 2nd carseat we have brought now. Still no joy. Hope you video helps. Thank you. Your daughter adorable.

Praying this helps in my situations, my son is car seat resistant badly, he will arch his back and kick and scream.. a lot then once he's in the car seat, while driving he will unhook and unbuckle his car seat so you can imagine it's very frustrating. I will try a lot of these and see how it goes thanks so much for the helpful tips an tricks video! 😊

I need to try this!! My toddler hates her car seat. Also musical cards has button batteries and can be dangerous if they open it and ingest it

I think she just used it to get her in the seat, not to have her holding it in the seat

Our son is named Ellis too! Wowow. Once he's in the car seat, he only last 20-30mins. We don't do cry it out, so when he cries we pull over, stop, get him out and play. 3hr car trips easily become 8hrs. How do you manage when they are crying mid drive? We are anti-cry-it-out and put his body autonomy over everything else - so this means we never travel in the car. This has caused stress with family members inside of 3hrs from us. Any tips?!

Hi. Ellis is a great name! Being in a car can be hard for kids, especially those that like to move or not be confined. I generally tried to avoid really long car rides when my kids were little, but that's not always possible. Often, I would have another adult drive and I would sit next to my kids and play. Some items I have taken on car rides are air dry clay, washable pens and paper, my kids loved crafting tape that we would make into balls or animals shapes or anything we could think of, Gift of the Tortoise is a great kids audio album on Spotify, Bert and Ernie sing Along is another audio album a bit dated but fun and can be found on Spotify too. I would often break up the trip with a stop to eat and run around, but again not always possible. Good luck!

Going to try the bag of random things because snacks doesn’t work anymore they’ve figured that out 😂😭 … any tips on getting them to stay in carseat . My 3 year old knows how to unbuckle the seatbelt & the carseat belts😩
@audreysarn13403 жыл бұрын
Sorry for my late response. Your 3 year old sounds very clever!! I don't have any tips on how to keep kids buckled in carseats but I did find some buckle shields and anti-escape clips available on line. I don't how effective they are, but good luck!

I feel you there.. my son who is 3 is the same way in those aspects ugh I'm relieved that I'm not the only one I feel so embarrassed over other parents who stare when we're leaving a park Because he is so good at making a ultimate scene and screaming top of his little lungs. It can be so stressful at time's.. :(

Thanks for sharing this! My baby still can’t be reasoned with yet (or it may just be because of me and my wife) since he’s just 11months as of this writing, and I’m really struggling to put him in his car seat. I’ll try again later with this new information in mind.
@audreysarn13402 жыл бұрын
I agree it's hard to reason with an 11 month old child. :) They are so young and I don't feel they have the skills yet to manage their feelings. My daughter in the video was probably 12-18 months at the time I made the video. I think I had to keep up the incentives for her to get into her car seat until she was about 3 (but I don't remember exactly). Today she is a cooperative child and easy going. She is still spirited and full of energy, but she has no problem taking direction or buckling up in the car. Good luck! It takes a lot of patience.
